The forest of forever fall...
The place where trees seem to have infinite leaves.
Honestly, this is so unrealistic that I don't even bother with applying logic.
I was ignoring Glynda's speech, like usual, and was tinkering with my sniper magazine.
"Roy, what are you doing?"

"Remember what I told you when we were at the cafe?"
Blake looked thoughtful before answering.
"You mean the death ray?"
I look at her blankly. A death ray?! I'm making something that is not supposed to exist until people discover the force! It's not a damn death ray!

I went back to the magazine. A little while later, I was handed a jar... Now, this was problematic...
Concentrating my semblance on my back, an orange hand emerged through the clothes, grabbing the glass construct.
I could feel three pairs of eyes on me but I ignored them, deciding that connecting the ignition mechanism was more important than their questions.
I followed my team on autopilot, not really paying attention to what we were doing.
"Roy, do you even know what we are doing?"
I use my semblance to heat up the tool I was holding, digging around even more.
"We need to collect sap but we were ordered not to walk off too far as there might be Grimm."
Weiss huffed before I heard something hitting wood.
"I thought you were distracted."
"I have 360° hearing Weiss."
Everyone went quiet for a second, processing what I just said before Yang snorted, Weiss huffed and Blake didn't make any noise to identify her emotions.
"And just like that, it's done."
I hold up the magazine and activate the mechanism that would be activated by the trigger.
An orange beam was shot from the magazine, burning through a tree... Then another... Another... Another... You get the point.
There were now a few dozens of trees with holes in them...
Oh, wait Dozens of ones with holes and one who was unfortunate enough to be standing a little to the left... which was now falling.

"You saw nothing."
Weiss was baffled as she looked at me with a dumbfounded expression.
"What do you mean "Saw nothing"? You just shot something that shot through dozens of trees!"

Raising an eyebrow I took out my pistol and transformed it into a dagger. With a swing, I stabbed a tree next to me and held the jar to collect all the sap.
When it was full I tightened the lid on it extra hard and handed it to my spare limb.
"How are you even doing that?!"
Weiss pointed at my newest limb and I looked over at it for a bit before shrugging.
"Dunno."
Ignoring Weiss for a moment, I look around with a raised eyebrow, where was Summer?
My question was answered when I saw her floating through the trees, looking like she was having the time of her life.
My mother was weird.
Shaking my head in amusement, I couldn't help but smirk...
"What are you looking at, Roy?"
... Damn it, Yang, why must you be so preceptive at most inconvenient times.
My salvation came in the form of Team JNPR... Without the J.
"Oh, look, literally anything else, let's pay attention to it."
She looked over and waved to the three who responded in kind. Thanking whatever god sent me here for that meme working, I look around to look for anything that might be coming for us.
Shrugging at the absence of anything moving, not counting leaves, I look to the other side.
"..."
Without a word, I start walking forwards, my curiosity was too great to not satisfy.
Jaune and Cardin... ever since that one match between those two, Jaune had been hanging out with the CRDL more and more.
I didn't pay attention to it, I was busy, making a new type of ammunition that works off aura isn't an easy task.
"Where are you going?"
I didn't stop walking as I answered.
"I'll be right back, you want to come with me?"
Weiss just stared at me before massaging the bridge of her nose and coming along.
I smirked at her as she stepped in line next to me.
"If I left you alone, you will probably somehow explode the forest. What did you see, anyway?"
We reach the small elevated piece of ground and see Team CRDL and see the four of them dragging Jaune somewhere.
"You know... That might just be interesting... Let's go investigate."
I ignored her groan and grabbed her hand, dragging her along. She was now my partner in crime, I ain't letting her go.
"L-Let go of me, I can walk on my own!"
Sure, but you can't seem to win any battles on your own... Heh. I need to train my team... No, really, they sucked, hard! so what if we were the best team in the first year, they still sucked.
Storing that thought for later, I raise an eyebrow at the scene in front of me.

My hand lashed out and grabbed on my companion's wrist.
"What are you doing? We should stop those brutes."
I tugged her back to my side and raised a finger to my lips.
"I'm interested in something and this is the best opportunity for me."
I narrowed my eyes at the group, especially Jaune...
