"That's... One giant nevermore, huh?"
My mutter got a nod from my mother and my partner. Right now, we were staring at a... very large bird with a bone mask on its face, its feathers swayed slightly as the wind passed by.
"We should leave."
Weiss muttered under her breath and I couldn't help but agree that we needed to leave as soon as possible.
This was an A-Rank Grimm, it shouldn't even be in this forest, teachers should have killed it before we ever entered.
Suddenly, there was an explosion in the distance...
"..."
"..."
"... Is Qrow nearby or something?"
I cast a sideglance at summer, wondering what Qrow had to do with this but stored that question for later.
The nevermore woke up.
"Oh, Shit."
I looked over at Weiss in surprise, she cursed?
Heh, nice.
"Well, up we go."
I picked her up bridal style and crouched.
"L-let go of me!"
Ignoring her flailing, I boosted my jump with my semblance. She circled her small hands around my neck, holding on for dear life.
With a small but powerful burst of fire, I glided through the air
"Oh, my gods! Your first bridal carry, im so proud! I want at least two grandbabies, a boy and a girl-"
I tuned summer out. I was running for my life here... well more like the life of the girl in my hands but still.
I didn't look back when I heard the flapping of giant wings, I ignored the shriek the Grimm let out. The girl in my hands did not.
"Where are you going?!"
I looked at her like she was stupid, absently noting that recently, I thought that a lot of people were stupid.
"Running, duh, also, look for the temple, we kind of need back up."
I could blast it with fire but it would still take time to kill it, the forest would be damaged severely and any team that it may fall on might as well be dead.
"Alright, Roy, Just think of people you want to protect and then look at it, It will work."
She's telling me to use my eyes here? Is she crazy?
"There!"
Weiss pointed down and I followed her hand, There were ruins and they looked like small pillars and little gold and black figures on them.
There were also two figures, I could recognize that mane of blonde hair anywhere.
Now...
"Can you land?"
The white-haired girl looked at me weirdly but nodded... I dropped her.
"Roy, that was rude."
"You don't say."
-Yang POV-
"Do you hear screaming?"
I questioned my partner, Blake, She was a petite girl, slightly shorter than myself, clad in black with wavey hair and a bow.
Her weapon of choice was a katana that could turn into a hook-like contraption... Oh, and it was also a gun.
"Someone's falling."
Now that she said that...
Looking up, I see a girl dressed in white, falling while flailing, her silver hair flapping in the wind.
And it looks like the one who dropped her was... Roy? Why would Roy do that?
Then I saw him being surrounded by fire... Oh... Shit!
The white-haired girl formed some kind of platform to land on and managed to flip off of it, landing safely.
"How dare he throw me...Like..."
The white-haired girl trailed off as the three of us stared at my little brother.
The blue fire circles around him, expanding and creating a large orb.
The nevermore was getting closer.
The giant ball of fire suddenly started changing,
Two large wings separated, spreading out. A tail sprouted from the back and four legs from the bottom, the body formed, slim, fitting the proportions of the rest of the limbs.
A large head with a long neck sprouted from the body, two horns on the back of its head. It opened its maw, letting out a silent roar and flapped its wings, charging at the nevermore.
With a quick movement of its head, it chomped down on the nevermore's head.
I knew. The head was not there anymore, it was turned to dust, incinerated.
The nevermore's body started falling... Right towards us. That was until the blue dragon opened its mouth again and let out a stream of fire.
It was heading straight towards us but I wasn't worried, Roy wouldn't hurt me... Probably.
I couldn't say the same about the other two though.
-Ozpin POV-
"..."
"..."
"...Ozpin..."
A blonde-haired woman muttered from next to me as we both stared at the scroll she was holding, on it was a blue dragon, sending a pillar of fire towards the body of a giant nevermore.
"Seems like we gained... A good ally."
Holy shit! That thing is terrifying, just how much aura did making that take? Double mine? Triple?
This kid is fifteen, just imagine how much aura he will have in his prime sends shivers down my spine.
"...There were kids there."
Oh, right, the other kids.
I looked back at the screen, when the fire cleared I Rose an eyebrow. There was no forest fire, the other kids were safe and alive if only a bit scared, but the nevermore body was nowhere to be found.
"Seems like they're safe, looks like he knows what he is doing."
"How can you be so calm about this?! I thought three of our new students died!"
-Roy POV-
"Roy! My heart nearly stopped! Why did you do that?!"
"You do know that your dead right?"
"It's a figure of speech!"
I rolled my eyes, I wouldn't kill the three, I needed them alive... And besides, There was my sister there.
I made the dragon fly straight into the ground and extinguished the fire as I landed, holding out my hands to the side.
I look over at Yang, Weiss and the other girl expectedly...
Yang somehow pulled out a board that had a "10" written on it, Weiss and the other girl were still dumbstruck.
"You want to show off once and no one appreciates you for it."
Ignoring Yang's exasperated look, I walk towards the ruins and look at the "Relics", they were chess pieces.
Bruh.
Rolling my eyes, I walk up to the gold pieces and grabbed the knight piece.
"Alright."
I shrug and pocket the piece just as an Ursa bursts out of the woods, I aimed my finger at it, ready to fire, but it was unnecessary, it dropped down, dead. A girl was riding it though, but since I just made a freaking fire dragon, I won by default. She can't outcool me this time.
