The entire time Zary was maneuvering her bike down the mountainous area, she had busily kept on telling herself that what she did was the right thing, that she was not the one that should be feeling guilty. If anything, it was Sam who was in the wrong and should be the one feeling guilty. She convinced herself that her decision was what any rational woman would do.

She could not help but remember those times when she was angry and annoyed at her best friend because she kept on hesitating and thinking twice when the issue of divorcing her scum ex-husband came up. Karille had broken down and cried in front of her, telling her that it was not that easy ending their marriage that had gone on for some years already. That letting go of the man she loved was not that easy despite all that he had done to her.
