Chapter 67: Misty Makes Magic

Misty tapped at the keyboard, relieved to have a lead to follow up on. Never in her wildest dreams had she considered the possibility that the hot guy she chased as Jynx would end up living in her precinct. She was embarrassed to have her vacation antics follow her home and equally grateful that she had the opportunity to make up for her actions by helping Jessie and MJ resolve their legal issues. 

Of course, she had less sympathy for Liam. Even now, he was more concerned with how his life was ruined than with the danger his family may be facing. From everything Misty had seen of Jessie, she knew her to be a good mother who supported the people in her life. Given how she had forgiven Misty for hitting on her man, Jessie had a generous spirit. What could have happened to cause anyone to hate her enough to target her business and family? Or were they targeting the jerk kid Liam and Jessie was an innocent victim?
