Chapter 16: Chapter 16 Objection
After she got pregnant, Lucas cared about her more and more. Ashley gradually fell in love with his tenderness.
It was said that Kate and Jake were going to get married and they even sent her an electronic invitation.
When she clicked on the e-mail and found that the sender was Kate, she knew what her plan was. Undoubtedly, she wanted to stimulate her.
It was all bullshit that she wanted to get her blessings and hope everyone could reconcile and live a good life in the future. She just put the invitation directly into the trash can and didn't care about it.

There was a knock on the door. Ashley raised her head and said, "Come in. The door is not closed."

Ashley smiled gently. The servant put the tray on the table close to her to lest she forgot.

She nodded. The room returned to silence soon. The soup was still steaming, and cicadas were singing outside the window. The dim street lamps cast on the ground. Looking out from the window, the long road looked gentle.
She sent a message to him.
"The soup is very delicious today. The cook is very thoughtful. You should have a try next time."
Although they had been in a relationship, she wasn't as passionate as the first relationship because of her identity. Lucas respected her thought and cooperated with her.
"Okay. I'll have a taste next time. It's so late. Don't you go to bed?"
She looked out of the window. It was a sunny day today. It was only eight o'clock or nine o'clock. The sky was dark blue, and several clouds were visible to the naked eye.
She used to work overtime at this time and didn't think it was too late. But now that she was pregnant, she should go to bed early.
"I'm going to bed soon. Are you still working overtime?"
"Sort of. I'm having dinner outside."
She was sending a text message, but he was sending a voice message. The sound of cups and chatter could be heard in the background. Ashley also knew that people with the identity of Lucas were inevitably invited to social activities.
"Then don't drink too much. Be careful on the way back. I'm going to bed."
She sent her another text message and Lucas said good night to her. His voice was so low that she could still smell the faint smell of alcohol from him even through the screen.

Happiness was written all over his face. "I can't drink anymore. She called me just now and told me not to drink anymore."
It was rare for him to say such words in social activities. When he said this, everyone was stunned, and then realized that he was talking with a woman on the phone just now.
"Wow, when did Lucas get to this point? You are secretive."

Lucas' face darkened. He had hidden it well. He was planning to get married before Ashley showed her pregnancy so that he could say the baby was his. Nobody knew who it was.
While he was thinking, the car had entered the old house and the butler was guarding outside. Seeing that Martin was driving over, he hurried forward.
"Young master, you're finally back. Come on in. Your grandpa is angry now."
"I see."
He unbuttoned his suit and pulled his tie. He was annoying and walked inside.
It was late at night, and Lucas's grandpa was still in the living room in neat dressing. Other people were accompanying him, and everyone looked at him with strange eyes.
He paused and then continued to walk forward.
"Grandpa."
"You bastard! Do you know I'm your grandfather? Kneel!"
Lucas's grandpa was full of energy and anger. The others looked at him calmly, and the most blatant one was his brother, Luke. His eyes are full of mocking smiles.
He glanced at him and replied calmly to grandpa, "I wonder what mistake I have made."
"You don't know what mistake you have made?"
