Chapter 2: Chapter 1: Some moss and vine
third-person pov
Ben woke up on a treetop in what seemed to be a jungle-like environment, he looked around to see if he could recognize his surroundings but failed to do so, all of a sudden the Omnitrix began to beep loudly so when ben put up his hand closer to look at it and all of a sudden a hologram of appeared and it said "hello ben." ben eyes widen and he asked "Azmuth? what are you-?" the hologram held up its hand and said, "first thing first I am not Azmuth I am Azmuth 2.0 the original Azmuth had installed me in your Omnitrix in case the connection to primus would be lost, would you know anything about that ben?"
ben scratched the back of his head and said "well about that..." he then proceeded to explain everything that happened at the temple in Brazil and what happened to him. "so you are one of the Sonorosian clones and stranded here in this dimension is that what your saying?" ben nodded but then added "but since I have you here you could help me find a way back to the original and combine with him right?" the hologram shook its head saying "I'm afraid it's not that simple, this may take a while to find a way out of this dimension and by the time we will find a way it will be too late." ben asked "how come?" the hologram answered, "first of all by what I can tell this world is not a part of our multiverse so finding the right dimension could take at the very least two years, and second of all do you know how Sonorosian Reproduce?"
ben shook his head saying "all I know is that they are some sort of living sound waves in a containment suit.. right?" the a.i nodded again saying "true but they are so much more when a Sonorosian goes a while being split from one of his clones their brain waves go out of sync and the clone becomes an Independent being." ben asked "and how long does that takes?" the A. I answered "About a month in earth time." ben asked again "and does that affect the original in any way?" the hologram shook his head saying "non what so ever" ben then sighed with relief "that is good to hear." he paused for a bit before asking again?" and what will happen to me? you know what happened the last time I did this."
Azmuth scratched his chin while he answered "After the last time you split yourself I made some modifications to the Omnitrix so you won't experience some of the side effects that you had last time, and I must say you seem to be taking this news rather well." ben nodded saying "why not? he's alive and I'm alive, it will take me some time to adjust but who knows what the future holds for me here." he then looked around and asked "can you tell me where are we Azmuth?" the hologram looked around before saying "well for one thing we are not on earth anymore that's for sure."
he said as he pointed upwards to the sky for Ben to see two giant moons orbiting the planet, and ben just asked himself "how did I miss that?" the A. I didn't answer that one instead they tried to look around for any clue of a civilization of any kind.
when they couldn't ben then said "well maybe we'll have better luck if we went down from this tree." The A.I just said, "My thoughts exactly."
When ben started to make his way down from the tree, he noticed that it would take quite a while before he would get down.
He said to himself "I think I have a better idea." He opened the template of his watch and after choosing his alien he slammed down on it.
A green light engulfed him and in his place stood a tall thin plant-like humanoid alien with one eye in the middle of his face, five vine-like legs, four long fingers on his hands, flytrap-shaped flaps with teeth covering his head, and pods on his back.
The alien shouted "wild vine!" In his head, Ben heard the A. I say "wise choice Tennyson, the Florauna are a good species to choose if one wants to traverse a jungle such as this."
Ben answered "thanks Azmuth." He then pressed on the Omnitrix and said "Omnitrix: engage life form lock." Then he heard a reply "Life firm lock engaged."
He started to swing around from tree to tree with ease.
He did that for a few hours until he decided to rest for the night, when he got down from the tree all of a sudden he could feel something different in the air and in himself.
Suddenly some plants started to sprout out of the ground and began to form a figure of what seemed to be a hairy man, the man looked at him and asked "Who are you? And what are you doing in my forest?"
Ben just put his hands up and said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude, I'm wild vine and I'm new to the area."
The man looked at him squinted his eyes and said "you seem to be telling the truth, tell me wild vine... Do you know who evil seed is?"
Wild vine shook his head saying "Never heard of him in my life like I said I'm not from around here."
The man looked at him once again before smiling and saying "Had to be sure, nice to meet you wild vine, they call me moss man." He finished as he reached his hand for him to shake.
Ben took his hand and noticed that what at first he thought to be hairs were actually leaves.
He answered, "nice to meet you too, by the way, if you don't mind my asking but how did you know I was telling you the truth?"
Moss man just smiled and said, "I'm a member of the parliament of trees, all plant life are connected through it, there is no way of lying without an alarm going on."
Ben thought about it for a moment and said "Great to know that."
Moss man looked at him with a smile and said "If your not too busy I would like to get to know you a little better... Friend." And he grew some plants in the shape of seats and he gestured for Ben to sit next to him.
