Chapter 219: Unknown Deaths

They say time is a being without an owner. 

One minute you have a grasp of it, and the next… you're running out of time. 

Today's winds blew fouler than before. 

The skies were grey, the day was full and the hour was haunting. 

There were no birds in sight, just the promise of danger lurking all around. 

Tap, tap, tap, tap~

A lone man rhythmically tapped his fingers on his desk. 

His aura was imposing, and his silhouette enormous. 

Despite not seeing his face underneath his peculiar mask, those watching in the shadows knew something was bothering the man. 

The man frowned underneath his mask, readying the secret note time and time again before crumbling and throwing into a fireplace several feet away. 

The flames danced and crackled, seeing more fuel added to them. 

Thack! Thack! Thack!~

Except for the crackling of the flames, all that could be heard was silence… abundant silence.
