Chapter 49: IE: Chapter 49. A Fate Worse Than Death.
"Come out, did you ask him to lead me here to deal with me?" Serleena shouted.
She didn't go after Frank. It was just a small, dispensable character that she could exterminate at any time. Since they dared to lure her over, they must have prepared an ambush.
Just in time to destroy the confidence of those fugitive agents of the M.I.B so that she could get the Light of Zartha much easier. And she's also angry now, and wanted to kill to let off steam.
K walked out first, holding a small Noisy Cricket in his hand and pointing it at Serleena, "Hands up, I don't want to shoot you."
"K! You were the one that tricked me and made me miss out on the Light of Zartha in the first place. I was looking for you, but I didn't expect you to come out yourself. Where is the Light of Zartha? Hand it over, and I'll give you a painless death!"
Being held at gunpoint, Serleena didn't care. With a weapon of this power, there's no way it would hurt her.
"You... you killed Ben!" Laura desperately tried to free her wrists from Noah's grasp and rush up to avenge her foster father.
"Laura, don't go and get yourself killed. "Noah wouldn't let go.
"I've killed a lot of people. The name Ben doesn't ring a bell. Do you want revenge from me? I'm right here." Serleena hooked a finger at Laura. 'This weak Earthling wants to try and kill me?'
Bang!
K decided to shoot. His whole body flew backward and was caught by Noah. Noah told him that the recoil of this gun was very big, but he never imagined that a small pistol that looked like a toy had a recoil greater than an RPG!
Serleena twisted her body, and the energy bullet flew by. There was a boom not far away, but she was unscathed.
"You dare shoot at me?! You have courage, I'll grant you that!"
Serleena's hair turned into tentacles and shot at K. Noah decisively pulled them back, while flipping his wrist, and a Series 2 De-Atomizer gun appeared in his palm.
Bang, bang, bang!
Successive shots were fired to stop Serleena's pursuit and also broke two of Serleena's tentacles.
"K, follow the route and retreat, run!"
Noah recklessly pushed K's back and pulled Laura into a quick run himself. Four accumulated attribute points were added to his speed ahead of time, and his speed was much faster than that of normal people.
K turned back and fired a shot again. He was pushed by the recoil, and the whole person flew, overtaking Noah. 'That damn little Cricket gun played him!'
Even with a gun blocking Serleena, only one fork in the road was crossed before she caught up with them.
K grabbed prepared Series 4 De-Atomizer gun from the side, struggled to keep his balance and pulled the trigger.
Boom!
K paused, 'This recoil is so little?' The plan to speed up the escape with recoil failed!
"You guys are making me angry!"
Serleena looked at the two tentacles that had fell to the ground, broken off, and her expression turned ugly. She actually got hurt, fighting against two weak earthlings!
"K, this way."
Noah pulled K and rushed to the left instead of the right as originally planned.
"N, we're going the wrong way!" Laura shouted. 'We're escaping and N actually got lost!?'
"No, change of plans."
'There's a red dot on the left, that should be the big guy!'

At the M.I.B headquarters, several Kylothian rode solo flying saucers and watched the M.I.B agents. These were their prisoners now, and would be dealt with when their Queen gets the Light of Zartha.
At the same time, there were some alien prisoners who also acted as temporary guards. They were all cocky. 'Didn't the M.I.B send someone to arrest us? Now we are right in front of you. But you guys can't do anything!'
Ding!
A sound attracted the attention of all the Kylothian. It was the elevator. But when the elevator opened up, it was empty.
Bang!
A Kylothian single flying saucer blew up and everyone else was shocked, knowing that all the MIB agents here had their weapons seized.
Agent M got out from under a table and shot a flying saucer. When the muzzle of another flying saucer was aimed at them, another agent jumped out next to them and destroyed another flying saucer.
Bang!
J jumped down from the ceiling, straight onto a flying saucer, and at the same time shot the Kylothian man on the saucer. Unfortunately, he fell to the ground in a mess, which wasn't quite the same as the handsome pose he wanted to complete while flipping over and standing on the ground.
But this didn't affect his mood, "Hey! Who told you can attack M.I.B's headquarters?!"
The five alien flying saucers, were all taken out within seconds. The other agents rose up and fought with the alien prisoners.
Agent J saw that Agent C's weapon was knocked out of his hands, he actually jumped up and tussled around with an alien. He fired a shot and took care of the prisoner.
Not long after, Zed was brought out by Agent M.
"Thanks for the support of each branch, but the crisis hasn't been lifted. Not just Serleena, but an armed ship she brought with her."
"Don't worry, Chief. N will take care of everything. I saved everyone this time, do I get a promotion? I made the rescue plan."
J was full of pride.
'Let's just say I'm one of the best agents in the MIB, and you didn't believe me before.'
Zed looked at the messy bullpen, then at Agent C, "I knew that the headquarters would suffer a lot of damage when you came."
When this guy was a police officer, he would often be reprimanded by his superiors for catching criminals who robbed a million dollars and caused millions of dollars of damage to Singapore. After joining the M.I.B, the headquarters also had to pay for a lot of damages he caused.
"I'm all about catching criminals, and I blame J for shooting at them. Otherwise, I would have been able to capture them alive and ask them where Serleena went."
"I know where Serleena went, and luring Serleena away was part of my plan with N." J acted like he had it all under control.
"You guys tidy up here. The rest of you, go get your weapons, and follow me. J, report the situation in detail. We have to support N immediately, he can't deal with Serleena on his own."

"Surrender and tell me where the Light of Zartha is, or you will suffer a fate worse than death!" Serleena chased after them, she didn't think that these three earthlings could run so fast.
And every time she tries to catch up with them, the young man would always shoot to hinder her. 'It's a small gun, why does it have so many energy bullets?'
But it didn't matter, she still caught up.
K and Laura looked at the dead end in front of them, and both had despair in their eyes. Obviously, they should have turned right at that intersection before. They could have run up to the sewer opening, and escape to the streets above, but N pulled them to the left.
"Had enough running? Why don't you kneel down and beg? Tell me where the Light of Zartha is, I might let you live." She wanted to get the Light of Zartha first, and then kill them!
Noah softly said, "When I shoot, you quickly lean against the walls."
Serleena heard Noah muttering something, and got impatient. Three hairs turned into tentacles and wrapped around them.
Noah placed his hands behind his back and suddenly fired a shot. But not at Serleena, at the rock behind him!
Boom!
A large hole was blasted through the rock wall, from which an angry big guy sprang out like lightning. It opened its huge mouth and swallowed Serleena, who was unable to dodge, and quickly dashed forward.'
