Chapter 8: Chapter 8. What is a Perfect Soldier?

"That's awesome. Noah, you really have some arm strength, man... I guess some people's 'honors' were exaggerated. " Jay fanned the flames.

Noah could win in arm-wrestling, so he thought he could definitely do that too. He used to compete with Noah back at their apartment and never lost once!

The other soldiers gave Jake a confused look, 'Man... you're really embarrassing us. Did you really graduate from West Point with that level of strength?'

"Captain Malfoy. Navy SEALs! Don't think you can be proud of winning against a landlubber. I'll show you what strength is."

Malfoy placed his arm on the table. He was going to show these people, and Zed, that he was the best of the best!

Noah smiled coyly, "Sure, let's see what happens."

As Zed said 'start', the muscles on Malfoy's arm instantly swelled. One second later, the competition ended, and the back of his hand touched the table.

"Um... you're joking, right? I thought I was strong, but that's not even half a second, right?" Jay continued to taunt from the side.

"Anyone else?" Noah scanned the group of people.

"I'll do it. Captain Gordon, Special Forces, Sniper." Gordon would regularly exercise his arm. After all, holding his gun for long periods of time, and the recoil of the gun, needed steady and strong arms. Ordinary people could dislocate or break their shoulder bones if they tried it.

A second later, Noah yawned, "This is taking too long. I have two arms; let's end this sooner."

Jay stood behind Noah, holding Noah's shoulders, "Well, if he's sure, you guys should step up. Let him show you what strength is."

Jay repeated what Malfoy said just now, but his expression was very flat.

The other naturally felt ridiculed; they had pride in their work. 'This Noah kid was probably tired by now anyway, right?'

However, when the rest of them took their turns, some of them lost in a second, and the rest lost in less than a second.

"Jay, your turn." Noah looked at Jay and said so.

"Me? Forget it. Besides, I'm just accompanying you for the interview. I'm not looking for a job. "J smiled wryly. Seeing that those muscles lost, he didn't think he could win.

'Maybe Noah wasn't even serious when we competed at home? His strength couldn't possibly skyrocket in a few days, right?'

"Tsk, coward!" Some people couldn't help but despise him. 'If this guy didn't egg everyone on, they wouldn't have lost this bad.'

"Bro, we're friends. We've completed it many times. Why would we count every win and loss? Right?" Jay said loudly while sitting down. He winked at Noah, 'You understand what I mean, right?'

Zed started to get curious about Jay. 'K recommended these two. An unemployed young man was stronger than the best soldiers? What about this NYPD officer? Was he a super-cop?'

"Start!"

Jay was pushing real hard. He didn't want to lose in less than a second. But he found that no matter how hard he tried, Noah's arm didn't move.

They held each other's hands for almost 10 seconds. When he looked at Noah's eyes, he instantly let go, "Forget it, it's a draw."

He had no doubt that, just now, if Noah exerted more strength, he would be badly defeated, just like these soldiers. 'But, I guess he still sees me as a best friend...?'

Zed looked at Noah and then looked back at the two-way mirror. 'The two people you chose aren't simple. In the end, who are you going to choose? The chattering cop or the jobless kid?'

"Next, test. Speed, endurance, climbing, and so on. Are you all okay with that?"

There was actually a large race track underground. There were exactly eight lanes for eight people. The other didn't have a large gap between each other, but Noah was ahead of the second place, by over 5 meters.

Zed, look at the data. 'This kid nearly cleared 10 meters in 10 seconds. The others were a little above 11 seconds, not that bad.'

'The high jump was on an athlete's level, leading others by a large margin.' The endurance test was running for 100 meters. These soldiers had confidence because this was business as usual for them. They thought at least they could have something over the kid.

Unfortunately, from the beginning to the end, Noah was far ahead, and it seemed that his speed hadn't changed. On the contrary, many of them were almost exhausted, which gave Jay the advantage and came in second place.

"Hey, are they really soldiers? Not pretending? They look like newbies in the Police Academy. " Jay sat beside Noah, deliberately speaking out loud.

Originally, he was only here for Noah. But now, he felt like he could compete against these experienced soldiers, and he could really beat them in most things!

"Who knows? Anyway, I think they're just average. They will be eliminated soon." Noah was satisfied with his physical quality. He was at LV2 and could defeat an average soldier easily.

However, compared with aliens, his achievement wasn't enough.

"Okay, next item. Marksmanship. Everyone knows how to shoot, right? Then follow me. You get to shoot some monsters." Zed looked at the test results. Noah, who he was least optimistic about, was the first in everything.

Noah took a deep breath. This was his weakest point, and his score should be at the bottom. Fortunately, he should be able to get high marks in the written test and physical fitness tests.

"Marksmanship? Haha, I'm the shooting champion in the NYPD. This is going to be a piece of cake." Jay looked at the others. This was the thing he had the most confidence in. He was sure he could beat them.

The other six soldiers had cold smiles on their faces. How could their marksmanship be any worse than a city cop? They had training in every kind of gun in the military, be it land or sea.

Captain Gordon, in particular, was a sniper. He wasn't only an expert in rifles; he also knew his way around a handgun. He was sure he could beat these two.

Standing in front of two large doors, eight guns were placed on the table in front of them. When the door opened, they all quickly grabbed the guns. Noah was the last one.

The lights flashed and kept blinking to confuse them. Everyone saw some monsters in front of them. Some had several eyes, some had tentacles, but they only hesitated for a second. Everyone started shooting, except for Noah and Jay.

Jay, observing the situation in front of him, made some basic judgments. Noah opened his personal information the moment he got the gun.
