Chapter 177: Confused

The look in his eyes is clear to me. 

I can see it. 

He is heartbroken, just from watching Roman with Tala. I don't know what it means but I can tell when someone is in love with someone else and it looks to me like Khalid is in love with Roman. I don't know how I feel about it, but it is not a good feeling. 

"I missed you,'' Tala says, still holding her mate. 

They embrace but I keep my eyes on Khal. He is fighting tears; he is hurting, and I don't think Roman has a clue that he feels this way. I can see it--maybe it is because I have been paying too much attention to him. There are a lot of people here, but he is the only one I can see or even want to look at. I might just be in denial at this moment because deep down, I know what this means. This longing that I feel. The feelings that are surging through me in a frenzy. 

"Colm, take him to the guest house by the fence,'' My dad interrupts my stare.
