Chapter 7: The sink is Broken

"You will lose the people you care about."

"I say again, I was waiting for you."

"Please, they are hungry."

"My body parts were targeted by them."

"Don't avoid fate."

Nada felt her knees begin to go limp. Since the incident of Varo's death, she has not left her room at all because of the trauma of the incident. She thought this way —locking herself in her room— was the best way for her. Not, her room had indeed become a hotbed of trouble.

All this misfortune came from her room, even though this was a new room in her new house.

Remembering everything, about something that feels damp when the lights in the room go out. Especially seeing a woman wearing a red dress, it felt like she kept saying things that scared her.

Hey, where did the brave Nada go?

Nada looked at the gray book that had suddenly returned to her bag. She wanted to run away from reality right now.

"What do I have to do?" She muttered, this was frustrating. Just because she, made Varo die a terrible death, Varo shouldn't date her.

Is Nada a source of disaster for everyone? Bad luck, maybe?

BRAK!

The door to her room opened wide to reveal Bela holding a utensil in her hand. "It's so nice to be in the room all the time while I have to take care of the house alone, a kid like you doesn't know how to make a profit! You've been given a good life, no need to cook, no need to work, still don't want to lighten the load!"

Nada sighed shakily. Hadn't she suffered enough all this time? To the extent that she had to deal with a stepmother who had already damaged her mental state.

"What's wrong, Mom? I feel my body isn't feeling well, so today I can't help you, sorry..." Nada whispered. She had lost energy from crying for too long and not eating for two days, so she felt weak which made her body look like a sick person.

Bela approached Nada who was in the corner of the room, she noticed the face of her husband's son who was now thin. Nada is seen hugging her knees. "You cry?!"

"No, mom," answered Nada, slowly.

"Why are your eyes puffy? Don't tell your father about this! I will torture you even more if your father finds out how I treat you!"

"No, Mom. I dare not say anything to father,"

That's right, all this time Nada was silent in the shadows. She wanted to say that the figure of the woman in front of her was very similar to that of a demon because she had a strong character and was also extremely cruel to her. She did not dare to complain to her father, because of course the father would defend his new wife since the mother died.

Bela smiled crookedly as she handed the equipment she brought to Nada. "Here, you can quickly fix the drain in your bathroom sink. It looks like it's leaking, the water is going through the walls of my room." She said as she placed the utensil on the floor, right in front of Nada.

Nada nodded, she was used to being employed like this. "But wouldn't it be better to call workers to repair? If I fix the sink, I'm afraid it will get worse."

Bela snorted, then looked at Nada sharply and grabbed her son's hair. Child? Even the call was foreign to her tongue. "Expensive!" She is screaming. "Are you willing to use your savings to pay workers to fix your sink?!"

"Aww it hurts, Mom! Let go of my hair," said Nada wincing in pain.

Hearing that, Bela immediately let go of Nada's hair. Maybe she felt guilty because she had always used physical violence, then without another word, she immediately bolted out of Nada's room by closing the door without the slightest feeling of relaxation until there was a loud 'BRAK' sound.

The reason is simple, Bela is lazy to call other workers to fix the sink because according to her it will be expensive and will erode her finances.

Nada sighed harshly when she saw Bela who had left her room without seeing her. Alright, she'll do this right away!

She walked frantically towards the bathroom in her room. There was a big and long mirror, which was one of her greatest fears. Don't let the demon guard see it, especially the talking woman who constantly reminds Nada to be a 'friend'.

When she entered the bathroom, she saw a cracked sink pipe, even though yesterday it was fine. She started to crouch and took out the tool she needed to justify the sink. She did it as quietly as possible so as not to be heard by the figure she was afraid of lately, she didn't want them to know her presence because they were so close to them.

"FUCKING DEVIL! DARE YOU EAT MY FINGER!"

Nada's breath hitched, she hid even more under the sink. She hid or they would drag her to the mirror without mercy.

"FUCK! IT'S OLD, I DON'T KNOW TOO! WELL, YOUR BRAIN IS ONLY HALF WORKING!"

She didn't know for sure what the shape of the woman who had been haunting her had been. To be sure, she sounded even worse than before.

"NADAAAA!"

Silent tone, not replying to something calling her name.

"NADAAAA!"

"DO YOU HEAR WHEN I CALL YOU?"

"PLEASE ANSWER MY CALL!"

"FUCK, THEY ARE REALLY LIKE PESTS--"

"ARGHHH!!"

Nada covered her mouth when she heard a scream, damn it, what happened to the woman in the mirror?

"You don't have to run from me anymore. Your body is so delicious with your blood so sweet." baritone voice, scary.

"My feet!" the woman shouted.

The tone sheds tears. Is this what will happen to her if she is dragged there? Gosh, she was freaking out for now and the next. Why was she chosen? Why can't Bela be the target of the creature in the mirror?

"Nada, if you hear this, don't ever throw the book away."

"Take it with you always."

"If you are dragged, in the book there is a way out."

"Please be careful."

"They have mastered the mirror in your life, even a small mirror."

"I have to go, they started eating my limbs."

After that, there was the sound of footsteps walking away. It sounded like reality, but their world was certainly different.

Silent tone, still in position. As long as she doesn't appear in the mirror, she's safe.

Tell me, what should she do?

After feeling safe to do something noisy, she immediately fixed the broken pipe. And once she was done, she had the intention of instantly darting out of the bathroom by crawling out silently —rather, trying not to make any attention-grabbing noises—.

But suddenly, a voice was heard. The previous baritone voice sounded along with the girl in the mirror.

"You're eavesdropping."

...

I told you, they're stalking you. And won't let you get away with it. I warn you, they are all over the mirror in your life. They are waiting, watching you from a distance though.
