Chapter 5: final fight and discoveries
(holy crap, this was a hard chapter to write. I spent hours thinking of ideas for this. I still don't know what to write, so ill just. freestyle. I hope you guys like this one)
yuko ran towards me not giving me a chance to react, he landed a kick on my stomach making me cough blood and vomit, and he grabbed, me by my neck while chocking me "the only reason you killed guriu was that he underestimated you and didn't try I promise you ill give it my all"
He threw me in the air and withdrew his blade. He jumped up as I was falling and slashed me across my face. "ughhhaaaah!!" I couldn't help but scream as my blood was going into my eyes
Yuko kept punching me over and over for 5 minutes straight. I couldn't breathe or talk. I could feel that my throat was almost destroyed. 'is this the end for me 'I thought as I was continuously being punched? He threw me against a tree.
'I think I can use it now
I began planning on how I could create a reishi Rasengan without him noticing
I held both my hands behind the tree creating 2 small reishi Rasengan as yuko got closer to me. He didn't notice what I was doing. He was laughing like a maniac.
"Before I kill you, tell me your name"
To buy the time, I tried to make conversation. I barely could speak "w-why" before I managed to whimper.
the man didn't answer and instead began laughing'"HAAAAAAHAHAHA"
It was then that I realized he wasn't sane
'perhaps due to his friend's death he lost his sense of rationality'
I now knew I have a chance to beat him since he wasn't thinking straight finally he rushed towards me with his zanpaktou I crawled as fast as I could behind the tree with both Rasengan in hand as he got closer he slashed the tree that I was behind but the moment he attacked I stood up with all my strength lunging towards him with both Rasengan I could see the shock in his face as it completely hit him, a loud boom could be heard as dust piled up,
I fell to the ground again, "kguhh".
"I have no more energy, I feel like dying"
The dust slowly settled. What I saw was completely disgusting.
Inside a big crater was a body with the top half missing it was completely disfigured with dry blood in every direction, I would've vomited but I didn't have the energy to do so ' I can't even crawl right now', suddenly I had a huge headache it felt as if my head was being split open in half I couldn't even scream, slowly my vision started going dark 'am I losing consciousness… am I dying again' is all that went through my mind as everything went dark
I opened my eyes once again and saw that I was back on the grassy plain. "why am I here? I thought I died "
"You almost did. " I turned around to see ZA, but this time two enormous clocks were atop a golden fedora hat attached to his golden head.
It surprised me. I somehow survived. I was severely bleeding and beaten to death. " How did I survive? My whole body was bleeding out, my lungs got destroyed, and they pummeled my head "
ZA responded, "I helped you, although you are still in terrible shape, the dangerous injuries mainly are gone "
he healed me, "but how ?"
"you're not strong enough to know yet"
I knew he was my zanpaktou, but I still wasn't sure, so I had to ask "are you my zanpaktou"
"yes I am, but I am also not. ", I showed visible confusion if he was and wasn't then doesn't that just mean he isn't my zanpaktou
"what do you mean by that can't you just explain why?"
"I am in basic terms your zanpaktou but I'm also you", I was getting frustrated, my so-called zanpaktou just kept speaking in riddles that weren't making any sense holy crap he's even worse than zangetsu, he just says things that he already stated without saying or adding anything new to it'
' Just listening to him speak hurts my head.' I thought over what he said
'Yeah, he's technically me since he's my zanpaktou, but he could've just said he was my zanpaktou. There was no reason to say he was me since I already knew that.'
" Fine, I guess you're my zanpaktou, but also me. Do you think I'm at least strong enough to know your name now? "
"you've made progress, but to learn my name, what we need is a proper weapon "
"what about the sword that guriu guy handed me?"
"that is, but a broken blade, nor is it your true blade. "
'.. hmmm, didn't Kenpachi take his sword from a soul reaper he defeated? Wasn't Kenpachi to use it and even unlock Bankai with that sword? Why can't I use a random sword for my Shikai?'
"tell me ZA, why can't I just can't use any random sword"
"I will not go into any sword that can't suit us. You will find an accurate weapon soon. I can already sense it "
I sighed, visibly wishing he could've just created a zanpaktou by himself, just like Ichigo did
' ill have to enter the academy to receive a weapon. I'm pretty sure it changes into a wielder-accurate weapon after spending a lot of time with it. Ichigo is so lucky he got it in seconds.'
I decided to ask one more thing please, can you teach me a few techniques? "
I asked ZA if he could give me some tips on how to improve "I have no experience in holding blades or fighting only reason I only won against those shinigami because I caught one by surprise and the other underestimated me please can you teach me some techniques"
"I have no techniques to teach. I only know what you know. You need no techniques yet. Why not create your style to follow the movement of the sword"
'what was that even supposed to mean?'
"well, thanks for the tip. I guess ill be leaving now"
ZA didn't answer. I wished to leave. I closed my eyes and opened them. The sky was dark. I was still in the same spot as before. It seems their deaths haven't been reported yet.'
I checked my injuries. I had some cuts still open and had dry sticky blood on me, but I could breathe normally now and the bleeding had stopped on major cuts.
'seems ZA healed me. What if my Shikai and Bankai are some sort of healing abilities?'
ugh, I shuddered at the thought, 'how would I even fight people, by healing them to death?' I gave a little chuckle at my joke
after a bit of stretching, I went and started collecting the body parts of these shinigami "can't believe I won, but it was a hard fight even though they were just cannon fodders and not even lieutenants, I still have a long way to go before reaching the peak of this world"
I began digging with my hands. It was dirty, but it didn't matter. I'd go to the river later to clean myself right now. I focused on getting rid of the evidence.
finally, after an hour or so, I finished burying them and hiding some of the damage.
"they might still find it since I'm pretty sure they can smell blood, but at least they won't know it was me"
I immediately ran as fast as I could. I'm injured, but I was going faster than I could beforehand.
"did I get stronger from this fight or did ZA do something to me? ," I reached the stream in a few seconds.
I didn't bother getting out of my clothes. I just jumped in. The water felt relaxing and warm, and the dirt and blood from my cut started getting off of me. It was refreshing.
"are my cuts healing? "
I noticed my cuts slowly disappearing. I instantly jumped out of the water
"does this water have some sort of healing properties? "
Nope, it didn't. Even though I was out, the sword slash on my forearm that reached my back was still closing all by itself
"is this regeneration?, do I have regeneration now "
I was slightly confused. "Why is it only working now, or did I just awaken it?"
I didn't bother thinking more about it. My body was mentally and physically tired it seems healing took a lot of energy and I needed sleep. I walked to my small tent and closed my eyes as I began dreaming of the sound of water running ..... TO BE CONTINUED.
