My Viewpoint as a Dreamer Chapter 24 - Vision 7 - What is this? (2)

Two men were standing in front of a large door, both wearing white guard uniforms.

" Hey. Do we really need to stand here? "

The man on the left side of the door spoke while he was yawing. His eyes were sleepy, like he could sleep at any moment.

" You are always sleepy. We had night duty once a week. What were you doing all day? "

The man on the right side looks toward his colleague with a disappointed look. He was someone who took his job seriously.

The man on the left side of the door scratched his head with a sorry expression.

" Today was the Modern Continent football match between Libertis and Gistea. "

The man on the right side raised his left eyebrow.

" Oh? Who won? "

" Gistea. It was a tough call, I thought Libertis will win for sure but in the end, the new player scored the goal. "

" Really? I thought that guy is for show. Does he actually make the last goal? "

" Yeah. I thought the same thing, but the guy was good. "

Suddenly, The guard on the right side of the door stopped talking mid-sentence. The man on the left side of the door became confused and spoke.

" What? "

" Did you hear something click? "

" Hm? No. Must be some rock or something like that. "

The man looked around one more time, and then shrugged his shoulder.

" We should keep the watch, The church is not somewhere we could slack off. "

" Yeah. People from Church sure are strict about its security. "

Both men were guarding the main door of The Church of the city 'Brigians'. The men then stopped talking and kept on the lookout.

Inside The church, everything was silent, but a man in a black long coat and a purple mask could be seen near the window on the roof.

Obviously, that was me.

I walked inside The Church from the top most window while remaining in the air. The Church hall was very large and decorative. It had long pillars on the sides and rows of long wooden seats in the middle.

In front of The seats, there were a number of statues on the stage.

The church itself was very big, with many desks and chairs in the corner, where people came to make their requests. It also had a large pond filled with flowers on another side.

I just shook my head seeing the glamourous place.

" Check for any sensors. "

I looked around mumbling to myself but obviously, I was talking to Persephone.

I learned that I could not use all of Persephone's skills, because my body can not handle it yet. I also can not use more than one of her skills at a time.

She flew around and then landed on the red carpet where the seats started.

" Come here. There are no high-level sensors, but walking straight through the carpet is safest. "

I flew towards her and landed on the red carpet in the middle of the church.

" It is a smart move. "

Persephone nodded her head. Noone would just try to walk straight in the middle of the church. Most people would try to sneak in. They will try to move around so that they could cover their tracks.

I calmly walked through the middle of the red carpet toward the statues. If anyone were to see me now, they would think of me as a crazy person. I am walking openly to the place, I am trying to sneak in.

I ignored the useless comments I was getting. I walked onto the stage where many statues were there. I looked at the beautiful sculptures which were 3 ft tall.

There were many God sculptures but I went closer to one of the statues.

It was a statue of 'Ariadne' the wife of Dionysus.

People worshipped her here. In mythology, she was the immortal wife of Dionysus, so it was understandable for people to worship her. I look at the statue like I was sizing it. Then I extended my hand and rubbed the back of the statue.

" What are you doing? "

[ The Nubecula 'Dionysus' is disturbed by your action. ]

What-? These people are accusing me because of a statue. Persephone was looking at me with a dumbfounded expression, I also got a message for Dionysus's emotion. What the hell? these people are crazy.

I focused back on what I was doing. I rubbed the back of the sculpture gently. Then I felt something like a button on the back of the statue. I pressed the button.

As soon as I did that, I heard a small sound of air being released from one of a wall behind the statues. I ignored everything else and walked towards the wall.

I walked along the wall now by one, touching it. After walking for a while, I felt one section of the wall that was loose. A smile formed on my lips and I pushed that section even further. The wall then opened like a door and stairs revealed themselves going downwards.

" Would you look at that? "

A smile on my face widened to a smirk. A hidden chamber in a sacred place. What could be hidden in the place which was meant to protect normal citizens?

Persephone came beside me, I motioned her with my chin to move in front of me. She flew downward and I followed her. As we went downward light started to lite up.

" There are sensors for lights, but I did not find any security sensors. "

Then so far there were only sensors upstairs. Maybe they did not want others to find out about the place. The church would even require people to install everything. Or they are just careless?

No, if there are no sensors here, they must have put it somewhere else. We walked down the stairs. Then we reached a black door.

" Clear? "

" Yes. "

I opened the door, It opened very easily. The room from the inside was kind of like an office room. The room had a big desk in the center and bookshelves around, sticking to the walls. There were also leather couches and a tea set.

Persephone flew and sat on the couch with ease and no worries.

" There is nothing here. I think they are dumb, or there is nothing here. "

Her statement might be true, but that made me frown. If there really was nothing then I came for no reason. Persephone sensed my disappointment.

" Hey, no worries. You can always take it from somewhere else. "

Should I? I was not someone with great luck to begin with. Should I just go to some other Church?

But then I will be late for Trivia. I also do not have time, there is a lot I need to do. I was planning to go to some church in the future, but since I needed the essentials. I decided to hit this church.

No. I did not come here just to go back. I try to remember what I knew and what I read in bob guest room. After dinner, I read the 'Battle through dream world' to recall some information.

There were shady businesses behind all the churches. The Church acted as a pillar of justice but most of them were connected and worked behind the nobles or some with the nobles.

The only problem was there are too many churches in this world, and I could not dream about all of them. So I did not know where exactly are the 'things' in this church.

" Search place for any security. "

Persephone stood up from the couch and went towards the big desk.

Persephone used an S-grade skill. I wish I could use the skill myself, but Right now I could not use any of her skills above B-grade.

Persephone had her eyes closed and then after a few seconds, she opened her eyes and walked toward me. She must have found something.

I became curious and hopeful, but then I sensed a sense of frustration from her through the Soul contract.

Now, what the hell did I do? 'Why is she so serious?'

She walked and stood right in front of me. I was confused. She looked into my eyes.

"Couldn't you just ask that before? you should rely on others more. "

What? my mind went blank. I looked at her like she is stupid. No, She is stupid. I am relying on her since I came into this world.

Even with all the knowledge. I would not able to survive in this world with my stats. Still, she thinks I should rely on her more?

sigh...

I sighed and looked around like I am still trying to find something. It is not like I could answer her casually, after all, Nubeculas were watching. I stayed silent putting up my fifth amendment right.

Persephone didn't show much reaction to attitude.

" There is a door behind the bookshelf that has a security device. "

She then pointed towards a door on the right wall. I nodded my head and moved towards the wall.

The bookshelf looked heavy, first I moved the carpet and then I tried to move the bookshelf. It was really heavy. I tried harder and moved it a little bit, then I could see a door behind the bookshelf.

I was looking towards the door from the small section I created, but again I felt that someone was looking at me. 'She' was looking at me.

I know I could just ask to share her strength stats, but I don't want to unless I really need it. It was not ego. ...Okay, it was a little.

I cursed in my mind and then moved the bookshelf in one go. I didn't want a hole in my head, and the way she was glaring, it felt like she might make one.

" You are very stubborn. "

I heard that.

Once the bookshelf was out of the way. I walked towards the door. It was an old-style wooden door, but that was only from the outside.

When I opened the door. A new door appeared behind it. That door was completely different, it is like a futuristic door. It was like a huge keyboard. It had no handle instead it had keys all over the door, making weird patterns.

Seeing the door a huge smile appeared on my face. Then I spoke to no one in particular.

" So did anyone figure out the answer to the riddle from earlier? "

I looked towards Persephone, she thought for a second and then shook her head. I looked towards the mysterious door with no handle.

" I am the beginning of everything, The end of everywhere. I am the beginning of eternity, The end of Space and Time... "

As I spoke, I moved my finger towards a specific key. The door looked like it could contain an infinite number of combinations, but to open the door, the key was a specific 'key'.

I spoke the answer to the riddle and the mysterious door at the same time.

" It is the letter 'E'. "

I pressed the letter E on the door. It had only a single letter 'E' key on it. After I pressed the key, the light started to flow from the square keyboard button. It was like someone had onn the backlight option for the Keyboard-door.

Then with a single streak of light, the door split into two and the door moved into the wall.

I stepped past the opened door while being satisfied by the donation I got.

The atmosphere of the room past the door was completely different from the office room earlier. In fact, calling that room was an understatement, It was a large hall.

It was an experimental facility hall.

I walked further inside the facility. I could see many types of equipment which can only be obtained from Modern Country. It was weird that those types of equipment were here but I ignored it all.

I already knew what was going on here, but more importantly. I am not here for them, and also it does not matter to me.

I walked around for a while and then I reached a part of the facility, I wished I hadn't.

" True nature of existence with intelligence is always disgusting."

Persephone casually commented on that statement like it was obvious.

I looked around. The place we reached was the part where test subjects were stored.

More specifically, It was the place where actual people were stored inside huge glass chambers.

'Of all the places, do I have to find this place first?'
