Chapter 11: Chapter 11: A New Environment

“I could ask you the same thing,” I spat back.

“I’m starting to wonder if you’re worth all the trouble you’re causing.”

“Then stop coming after me and just let me escape,” I said, huffing in annoyance.

With a shake of his head, he stepped forward. I backed up instinctively.

“I’m not letting you go. And you’re in no position to fight,” he pointed out, noticing my ragged breathing and unsteady movements.

“I don’t care. I’m not going back,” I croaked, my throat starting to burn with each breath.

He rushed towards me without warning, grabbing me roughly before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. My ribs clashed with his shoulder bone on the way up, causing another wave of pain to roll through me as I yelled.

“Let go of me you b*stard,” I coughed out, starting to choke on saliva and blood as I felt myself getting dizzier as I dangled upside down.
