Eleonore’s POV
My hands traced gently over the skin of Hayden’s stomach as my head lay on his shoulder. I could feel Rhett behind me, doing the same with his hands as he traced patterns on my back.
I hummed at the feeling of having the two of them beside me again, and yet at the same time I could feel the extension from both of their ends. ‘Is it still hard to control it now?’ I asked them. ‘To hold them back?’
“Sometimes,” Hayden replied. “I think it’s just harder when you use your magic on us, it’s like it supercharges them and we can’t figure out a way quick enough to block them fast enough.”
Rhett hummed in agreement from behind me, placing his chin on my shoulder as he looked at me, then to his brother. “Come to think of it, that’s true. Despite us knowing that they were awakened, they only ever really pushed through when you tried to look into our memories.”
‘That could be a problem,’ I sighed out.
