I wouldn’t exactly say I was at a loss for words, because well—yeah. But when a pair of strong, powerful alphas are looking down at me from where they were standing-in front of me sitting on one of the couches of their office-with a look so serious and determined on their face, something I had never seen before, I couldn’t help but feel nervous.

Even Hayden, who was prompt to make light and joking about certain awkward situations whenever he wanted, was looking at me as he considered something. I didn’t know what it was they were thinking about at all, and I tried to push against the link and their minds to get a glimpse of what they might be thinking of, but they blocked me from it.

What could possibly be so secretive that I wouldn’t be able to be allowed to know about it?

I shook my head at them in an expectant manner. It had been more than five minutes of complete silence as they stared at me, and I was beginning to grow frustrated about the entire situation.
