I giggled at Logan’s expression as I parked the car in front of the coffee shop.

Throughout the entire drive here from the mage’s house he had been shaking his leg uncontrollably, while picking at his fingers and chewing on the sides of it. It was somewhat endearing to see someone as strong and smart as Logan be reduced to puddles—I guess crushes still worked the same no matter what species you were.

Logan’s head shot to mine at the sound I made, and his wide worried eyes darted to mine immediately. “What? What’s wrong? Did she cancel?”

I shook my head as I lifted my hands up. ‘Nervous?’ I asked him and he sighed, his leg slowly slowing down when I pointed it out—but not by much.
