Chapter 170: The emergency wards

Ray cupped his ears tightly as the loud blaring of the siren pierced his eardrums. Movement from his right side made his turn around to see several Deathless staggering towards him. Based on the direction they were coming from, Ray figured that they were the ones from the front of the building. His first instinct was to grab Meghan's hand and yank her back in the direction they came but for some reason instead of doing that, he glanced back up just as the siren stopped.

The dark figure pushed itself off the wall, falling directly towards where he and Meghan were standing. Ray gritted his teeth and shove her forward before getting out of the way himself, making it barely in time. The very next second, the dark figure landed with a loud crash, right where his body had just been. Scrambling to maintain his balance, Ray turned around to catch a quick glimpse at the creature before he yelled out.

"Momo, Don't stop! Get inside! Get inside the hospital! Hurry!"
