After a few unavoidable bumps as they went over the dead bodies of the Deathless they had shot down, the vehicle sped up the moment the tyres landed back onto the smooth main road. The acceleration from the car was more than enough to take them far away from the approaching swarm of Deathless. Within seconds, they couldn't even be seen on the rear view mirror.

Meghan looked back for a few seconds to confirm before turning back to the front. She sighed and leaned back in her seat. Ray could tell that she had had enough of surprises for one day.
