Chapter 80: The car

Once they had eaten, Leon felt rejuvenated enough to start using his brain to its full potential. But unfortunately that meant randomly cracking unwanted and not too funny jokes in the middle of conversations. It was only when Meghan gave him a death glare did he finally decide to stop with all the unnecessary humour.

The four of them were sitting on the couches, continuing their previous discussion regarding Sheila and whether she was genuine enough to believe. One of the main reasons Leon cracked the jokes was to try and divert the conversation. In truth, he didn't like the way his friends were talking about her in a negative light. But he also didn't want to support her outright and risk them finding out he had fallen for her.

For the major part of the discussion, Leon was relegated to just listening to Rody and Meghan talk. Samantha would occasionally jump up and call Meghan out for blatantly suspecting Sheila but didn't contribute anything else to the conversation.
