Chapter 61: Hunch

Not long after dropping off Sheila and what remained of her group, the rest of them managed to make it back to Ray's flat without an issue. Meghan immediately slumped into the couch and laid her head down. This day was almost as taxing as the day before. She didn't know how many more of such days she could take before she collapsed from exhaustion.

The rest of the group went into their respective rooms, leaving Meghan alone in the hall for a few minutes. She sighed out in peace, finally getting some much needed time for herself. Meghan closed her eyes, feeling the drowsiness overcome her. But before she passed into a deep, comfortable sleep, Ray returned and shook her awake.

"Hey," he said, "you haven't eaten yet. Don't sleep on an empty stomach."
