Chapter 182: The skeleton warrior
"Sure, am I not always nice to you?" Mathyas smiled at Sienna gently.
"Yes, you are very kind."Sienna said carefully, "Better to keep him in good mood." she thought."So can we go to do some drawing today?" she asked sweetly.
"Well, I promised to take you there today and you still owe me a portrait, so let's go."Mathyas nodded and help Sienna to stand out of bed.
Sienna sighed in relief. She really needed to get some paper because the pictures in her head were making her crazy! She felt as if she missed something and needed to draw and scribble. Mathyas offered her his arm and Sienna took it quite cheerfully. He was taking her to the drawing room by himself, so he left Xander and Ramse behind.
Ramse and Xander were a bit worried. They did not like to leave Sienna alone with him much, but there was nothing that they could do! Ramse went to cook and Xander went to rest a bit. He was used to sleeping a lot as a panther and here he was always on his feet!
Sienna with Mathyas was climbing all the way up to the top of the mountain peak thru the narrow corridors, till they stood in front of a decorated wooden door. Mathyas let Sienna in and she was almost blinded by the light. The room was very bright and spacious, with long elongated windows. Sienna would definitely move her bed there if she could!
The drawing room had a cushioned seating area, a big wooden easel and a massive wooden table with lots of painting supplies on it! Sienna got excited. It was an artist's dream!
She had the urge to start scribbling but she bit her lips to calm down a bit. She had to do Mathyas's portrait first, she did not want to make him suspicious!
"So how do you like this room?"Mathyas came to her and brought her a bunch of yellow roses in the dark clay pot."I got these for you, to make the room nicer, "he smiled gently.
"This room is amazing!" Sienna nodded and then she just stared at the roses, their bright red thorns were bigger than the blooms! It was a proper Halloween bouquet like from a vampire horror movie." Wow, that are really big thorns," Sienna stared.
"You don't like the thorns?" Mathyas flicked the fingers and the thorns disappeared!
The bouquet looked lovely now and really beautiful. Sienna smiled and went to touch the roses when she felt a sharp pinch! Her finger started to bleed!
Sienna furrowed her brows and started."How?" She put the bleeding finger in her mouth baffled.
"Silly little thing."Mathyas shook his head, "The thorns are still there, I just made them invisible!"
"You did? Really?" Sienna looked at him in a daze."I did not know you can do that... Can you make me invisible?"
"Yes, I can."Mathyas nodded."But I will not. You are too wild, I can't let you run loose. Besides, you are quite nice to look at." he grinned cheekily.
"Well, I bet you don't make your enemies disappear. They will become invisible and kill you in secret!" her imagination ran wild!
"You are so silly, I told you I'm immortal, how would they kill me?" he shook his head.
"As Sarcos killed Thurssa!" she thought but was quiet.
"Let's start. Where am I to stand?"Mathyas asked a bit impatiently. He could not stay that long, because he needed to check on the dragon scouts before dawn.
Sienna placed him to sit in the best light. Then she took the piece of drawing black charcoal and paper. She pinned the paper on the wooden desk and put them on the easel."Let's do some sketches first!" she smiled gently.
Mathyas sat in the decorated armchair and looked at her curiously. She looked somehow bewildered and happy when she draw.
Sienna observed the King of the Underworld carefully. His face for very smooth and white. His nose was very straight and kind of narrow, and his eyes and eyebrows flicked up a bit, he was really handsome, but more in a feminine way...
Sienna did a few sketches and then she went for a canvas and pigment paint. She sketched his face again with the brush and painted frantically with white, black and red paints.
She kind of went into a creative frenzy and forget the world around her. She was staring at Mathyas and doing all kinds of facial expressions which he was finding weird and cute at the same time. She was kind of talking to his picture as she was painting it!
"Is almost done," she smiled."Let's wait till it dries a little and then I finish the details." she chuckled.
Mathyas stood up and went to have a look."Yes. You are really talented. So am I handsome?" he lifted his eyebrow seriously.
"Sure you are." Sienna smiled gently. Mathyas circled her waist tightly, "Do you need to have a closer look?"
"Yes, sure. "Sienna checked his face really close. It was smooth and perfect!
"Don't move," she get out of his embrace. "The paint is drying fast, so I just quickly finish the details as you are so close." she draw frantically again."All done." she smiled, "Let's eat something. I'm so hungry!"She bit her lips.
"Yes, I like it." Mathyas nodded at the canvas."Shall we go to a dining room together?"
Sienna shivered just at the sound of it!" But, I still want to draw some dresses, and these roses from you." she begged cutely." I just have so many ideas to sketch," she smiled at him gently."Can I stay longer here, please?"
"Sure. I will get something for you then." he nodded.
"No, stay here, "Sienna held his arm gently." I will rather not be by myself again today." she swallowed hard."I can wait till Ramse will come. I'm sure he will not let me starve again."Sienna bit her lips worriedly.
"Again?"Mathyas asked curiously.
"He tried it once, but Xander doesn't let him."Sienna chuckled"You probably don't know that he and Xander bought me from king Aiden," she chuckled. They really helped me out. We are friends."
Just then the door opened and Ramse came back with the food!
"How did you know?"Mathyas looked at him curiously.
"Well, it is long past noon, "You want her to eat or she goes crazy..." he whispered to Mathyas jokingly.
"Really?"Mathyas furrowed his brows."Will she go savage?"
"As a hungry tiger. You don't want to risk it."Ramse chuckled but shook his head. He just wanted to tease the king a bit.
"Come eat, Sienna."Ramse put her food on the small table in the soft seating area. Sienna looked at Ramse."Thank you." she smiled."He wanted me to cook for him before and now he is my chef." she chuckled in her head.
Sienna gobbled the soft rice with mushrooms like a hungry tiger. She closed her eyes and felt the taste from time to time. The smell of mushrooms reminded her of Sharchan so much even though it was a bit different than his cooking."Ramse likes to use more spices."Sienna thought.
"What is she doing?" Mathyas watched Sienna relish the food.
"She really likes it. It makes her happy."Ramse nodded satisfied."I will have to teach her how to cook before we go." he nodded his head."But you will need to watch her in the kitchen when she cooks."
"Why?"Mathyas looked confused.
"So she doesn't burn your fortress down by an accident."Ramse chuckled.
"Well, Sarcos's castle still stands, no?" Mathyas said quietly, he did not want Sienna to hear his name.
"Yes, she was cooking just once there and he came right on time."Ramse nodded.
"On time?"Mathyas furrowed his brows.
"Yes, to stop the flames. I almost burned with her there too!" Ramse bit his lips," But shhh, try not to remind her, she is holding on quite well!" Ramse noted quietly.
"Do what you must."Mathyas nodded.
Mathyas came to Sienna and sat next to her."I have some work to do, I will leave you here with Ramse, ok?"
"Sure. Thank you."Sienna kissed his cheek gently."I will do some more drawing."
Mathyas went outside and sent Xander to watch Sienna on his way out. He wanted her to be protected well.
Sienna painted the rose first. It did not take her long. Then she looked around the room with wild tiger-like eyes and bit her lips nervously. Xander, as panther was laying near the window and Ramse, stood next to him nonchalantly watching her paint while glancing outside. Sienna looked at his strong muscular shoulders and arms. His chest was ripped under his light leather armour...
"Ramse, can you please do something for me?" she asked him innocently.
"Yes?"Ramse came closer to her. Her eyes were shining wildly. He felt almost frantic energy from her. She was wild! "Are you ok? Sienna, you never looked at me so wildly before. Do you want to eat me?" he chuckled a bit nervously.
"Almost."Sienna smacked her lips at him!
"I'm ready to accommodate all your requests." he chuckled and bit his lips.
"That's great, take off your top armour for me then," Sienna puckered her lips, "I need to see your muscles!"
"What?" the black panther lifted his head.
"Xander, go watch outside, please," Sienna sent the panther to guard.
"Hurry up, Ramse. Let me help you."Sienna went to him close and started to take his top armour off!
Xander shook his head and slid outside."What did you put in her food?" he growled at Ramse.
Ramse shook his shoulders innocently, but let Sienna help him to take his armour off. Then she started to take off his tunic. He looked a bit confused. She was too excited!
Xander peeked in, "What are you doing?" he looked at bare-chested Ramse.
"Shh! Go watch! I will show you later, "Sienna sent him out again. She arranged Ramse in the middle of the room and then she stood behind the easel with the black charcoal.
"Ramse, take your sword and make a fighting pose for me. I need to draw you." Sienna called excitedly. She looked as in fewer.
"You need to draw me?" Ramse stared at her a bit shocked."Because I'm so handsome?" he chuckled.
"No, because you have good muscles!"Sienna chuckled." But yes, you are handsome."
Ramse smiled and did as she said. It felt kind of good, that she stared at him...
Sienna first draw him as he was. Then she draw him without the skin and then as a skeleton!"Do some movements for me," she called excitedly."
Ramse did as she asked him. Sienna's eyes looked excited...but he was still a bit puzzled.
"She sketches as in fever!"Xander peeked inside and stared.
Sienna came to Ramse suddenly with a piece of drawing charcoal in her hand."Don't move!"She started to press his arms and shoulders firmly.
"What are you doing?" Ramse stared a bit disturbed. It looked like she wanted to take his skin off! Sienna was touching his arms, hands, chest and ribs and feeling his bones!"Are you ok?"He asked her worriedly.
"Yes, yes don't move! I really need this!"Sienna painted charcoal lines on his arms and shoulders gently, feeling the bones.
Xander chuckled at the door, watching the corridor and peeking in."New fashion, Ramse." he was amused, but a bit jealous, he would prefer Sienna painted on him! "It really sucks to be a pet all the time!" he sighed."Why Am so handsome..."
"You messed me all up!"Ramse stared at the black lines on his hands, arms, and chest.
"Ahh, come on, it is just as a bit of paint, " Sienna chuckled. "It is just not blue, but black! You need to try something new from time to time!" she tapped his shoulder gently. Ramse felt like a painted war horse!
"Now, do the poses again, I'm sketching. And do some fast fighting movements for me!" she called to him, drawing fast and mumbling to herself. Ramse stared as she talked to the paper and was a bit confused.
"Ok, done!" she sighed in relief. She watched her sketches with satisfaction and a few tears went down her cheek...
Sienna bit her lips and went to Ramse with a wet cotton fabric piece. She wiped the lines off him."Sorry for messing you up!" she smiled gently."As she rubbed it quite hard. It was not easy to get the charcoal off the skin!"
"Whatever makes you happy."Ramse sighed."I will just have a bath tonight, you don't need to take my skin off."
"Ok, then you can dress back now. I'm done!"She smiled at him.
"You are? What? That was all?" Ramse frowned in disappointment.
"What were you thinking? I just needed to draw you..."Sienna chuckled.
Ramse lifted his eyebrow and smirked at her.
"Ahhm, I prefer you stay alive."She bit her lips.
"Well, Xander was watching." he grinned."Well, I was thinking I got a reward for saving you today." he sighed looking heartbroken.
"What an actor!"Sienna shook her head."I can never repay you for that. You saved me too many times. You will have to like own me and it will still not be enough!"
"Well, I don't mind owning you!"Ramse chuckled as he dressed up. Sienna never teased him like this before and he liked it.
Sienna spread her sketches of Ramse on the floor."Come look, both of you!"
Ramse and Xander came closer and stared at the sketches.
"Look, the lines don't match to fight," she beamed happily.
"Where is my face?" Ramse furrowed his brows.
"I did not need to sketch the face, you don't want Mathyas to see your face on these anyway, in case he sees it."Sienna sighed.
"I just wanted the proof. He must become invisible!!!"Sienna said excitedly.
"Who?"Ramse furrowed his brows.
"Sarcos.This is how Sarcos died. They put a crystal in the dome and then he fought the invisible enemy and his body became a fighting skeleton. Mathyas said that he is fighting his Flaming Scorpion. The skeleton can't fight so strong as him. Something must hold the bones together. That means his joints and muscles went invisible!"Sienna bit her lips."I hope! If he went invisible he is not dead!" she looked at Ramse hopefully.
"Invisible?"Xander asked curiously.
"Yes, as the thorns on that roses from Mathyas."Sienna nodded excitedly.
"What thorns?" the black panther looked at the bouquet and then at Sienna with a confused look on his face.
"Just do not touch it, Xander!"Sienna called.
"Au, my nose, I'm bleeding."The black panther backed off.
"?" Sienna sighed.
Ramse looked at Sienna's sketches carefully."I saw similar drawings before!" he said as if in trance."In Gaius's library, in a book! The crystal makes the warrior's body invisible first, then he dissolves it into the air and merges with it. If the warrior is immortal and his will is strong enough, he can put himself back together and come back gaining crystal powers. That will make Sarcos Crystal Scorpion."Ramse said excitedly." Only one Scorpion King ever gained that, he was Sarcos's ancestor from ancient times. He built Sand City!"Ramse nodded.
"Where is he now?"Xander asked.
"No idea."Ramse shook his shoulder.
"Is Sarcos immortal? Do you think he is dissolved now?" Sienna asked worriedly.
"Yes, his armour, clothes and sword stayed on the floor. If he is only invisible, he will open that dome, go out and take you away."Ramse noted."He will be the invisible king." he chuckled nervously.
"So he can come back only if he is immortal? Is he immortal, Ramse?"Sienna asked worriedly.
"Well, he surely is powerful enough. Maybe Mathyas will know."Ramse said.
"I don't want to tell him. I'm scared he will rush to mate me or stop Sarcos from coming back!" Sienna shook her head."How we can help him to get back together again?" she bit her lips worriedly.
"I will try to find that book, it should be in your treasure cave," Ramse noted.
