Chapter 83: He Drew Me Closer

Lara's POV

The room was thick with our heat and scent as we relaxed, and I was trying to make sense of it all. He'd been my boss since the beginning. Even though I was aware of the similarities, it never occurred to me to put two and two together until now. In recognition of the feelings in the room and the incredible attraction that surrounded us, I laughed as he drew me closer.

As much as I would have liked him to be Brent, logic won out in the end. In the end, I caved into my feelings and needs after a long battle, feeling better than I had in years. With all the sex we'd done together, I had a complete picture of him. As friends, potential lovers, and people in love, he was right in front of me at all times. He appeared to be in love with someone else every day, and I wished that I could undo my decision, but it was always me.
