Chapter 12: Fighting back!
"Shouldn't we return the money?" Hary said, feeling worried about what Simon just did, He felt it was wrong even if they intended to do them harm!
"When you slap someone, you should expect to be slapped back! They came to steal from us and brought it on themselves!" This was the philosophy Simon knew works! He had noticed that if he just fought back, the bullying would increase. The bullies didn't lose anything and could just try again and again. It was then that he realized, he need to make going after him dangerous. This way they won't even try!
"What do you mean? It's wrong to do that! Violence is never the answer!" Hary stood his ground, Simon's idea didn't seem to get into his mind. 'He might be right, it's wrong' Simon wondered, quickly switching his mind back to his original idea 'But It's the only way!'
"Let me ask you this, What if you saw a monster, calmly standing, it noticed you but didn't attack! what will you do?" Simon asked, trying to convince Hary with his way of thinking.
"Shoot it I guess...Even if it didn't attack, a monster is still dangerous to leave alive close to human civilization!" Hary replied with the most natural answer, thinking that if even a monster didn't attack humans on sight, it might attack a lone child!
"So what if I told you, Your bullet wouldn't be able to kill it in one shoot, the monster will then chase and mauled you!" Simon changed the scenario, Hoping Hary will get it.
"I won't attack then, It's too dangerous, and since the monster is staying quiet, there is no real benefit to risking my life!" Hary replied. Hearing this Simon smiled, this was the answer he has been waiting for!
"I'm that monster! If they knew that attacking me will bring them more harm than benefits, most likely they will stop!" This time it got straight into Hary's head.
Without wasting any time, Simon followed with another statement to finish the conversation and push onward his ideology. "Both deers and Demon deers are edible, they taste the same, you can even argue that Demon deers are better as they have more meat! Now, why do you think we are only hunting regular deers? Even though Demon deers are arguably better?"
Demon deers are the mutated version of any dear because of mana. A mutated red dear would be called Red demon deer! They started to emerge slowly as humanity kept using mana. A lot of organizations have fought against the use of mana as they saw its impact on the natural environment, this said, a lot of others called it just the natural evolution of species!
Simon didn't waste any time. Answering his question to prove a point.
"Cause they fought back!"
Hary just looked at him in silence, Not knowing how to answer. Simon has proved his point and if he wants to argue further he needed a more solid base, a knowledge that he doesn't have!
"I get your point!" Hary said, giving up for now. "Still not convinced though, I will go get us some food, you take a bath in the meantime! Your clothes are covered in blood!" Hary replied, quickly leaving the room after he took Simon's Credit card that was full.
'Yes!' Simon celebrated his victory, feeling happy that he won the argument.
Looking at himself, he was definitely dirty! The training with Dina's squad, the exam marathon, and now the fight and blood. He definitely needed to wash up!
He then proceeded to the shower, filled a bucket with hot water, and took one of the towels that were provided with the room. 'I can't just drip water on my whole body, I can't get the bandages on my shoulder all wet now can I' As Simon thought that he realized something weird. His shoulder isn't hurting anymore, It's tingling.
Being curious, Simon lifted the bandages slightly to take a look at his wound, what he saw was surprising. The wound had already healed, leaving only the sutures stuck in his skin! 'It can't be right, can it?' An idea passed through Simon's head so he rushed to grab a scissor.
Slowly but carefully, he cut the threads and pulled them out. 'Let's give it some time' Simon waited for a bit before checking on the wound again. It was now fully healed, even the holes of the suture had closed.
'When I fought Dina this morning, my HP had definitely dropped below 10, but when I fought those three I'm sure it was back at 22' This meant one thing, his hp would heal over time!
'No way, it's that op! There gotta be a catch' Simon said to himself. As he took the bath, he kept replaying the past events when his HP had dropped and what happened before and after. Thinking as hard as he could guess one thing.
After finishing the bath he walked out thinking, 'Meat! The system asked me to eat it all the time, yesterday and even today after the fight with Dina. And right now this wired hunger for meat that I'm feeling' It needed more testing, but for now he decided to keep the idea that each time he regenerates his HP, he will be hungry for meat.
After finishing his bath, Simon waited in the room for Hary to come back. just a few minutes later...
Simon could smell the roasted meat behind the door, Hary must have returned. Simon hurried and opened the door for him.
"You're back? I'm starving!" Simon said eyeing the two bags in Hary's hands.
"It smells nice, doesn't it!" Hary said smiling as the light reflected on his glasses.
Simon signaled to him to get in quickly, It's time to eat.
Hary didn't bring only meat, he also brought some drinks(Non-alcoholic as they aren't sold here) snacks, bread, and fries, he even brought two cups of hot tea!
They ate their full, Simon gorged himself as much as he can, he needed that meat!
"How are your shoulder? Is it still hurting?" Hary asked as he saw Simon's hands swinging between the plates like frenzied snakes.
"It isn't hurting that much, It might start to sting once I try to go to sleep though!" Simon hid the fact that his shoulder was fully healed, up to now, both Hary and the School thinks that he can't use magic. That's kinda right as the system hasn't given him any magical power besides raw power. If Dina kept it a secret from the school he probably should keep it that way! He also didn't want to have to explain the healing to Hary as even he doesn't fully understand it!
After they finished eating, they decided to sleep at once, Hary was the one suggesting it as he thought Simon needed to rest.
Simon pretended to sleep, something was in his head. The dungeon's key he got the urge to use, with how slow he is progressing, level 5 might take a while!
From the side of his eyes, he checked if Hary was asleep, the man's position didn't seem healthy at all! His legs have already reached the pillow! He is definitely asleep!
Taking this chance, Simon sneaked to the toilet. In there he checked his menu.
The daily quests seem to reset after midnight as he got some new ones.

Kill three monsters...Unfinished (Reward 5 Exp)
Do 100 pushups...Unfinished (Reward 5 Exp)
Earn 300 gold pieces… finished (Reward 5 Exp)
Eat 1 kilogram of meat… Unfinished (Reward 5 Exp)
The quests have reset! Only one of them is possible to finish without extreme effort or price! There are no monsters inside the school! he can't Earn 300 gold without the system, and he can't buy 1 kilogram of meat with just 10 credits!
'Is it telling me to get into a dungeon?' Simon thought as he held one of the keys in his hand. 'This might be a bad idea!' Simon got a flashback of him getting mauled by wolves.
After a quick debate with himself, Simon decided to give it a try! He wants to finish the daily quests and for that he needs monsters!
Simon entered the F rank dungeon. He appeared inside a toilet that seemed to resemble the one he was in. 'It's awfully similar!' he thought.
Being nervous and on high alert, Simon's eyes shifted from left and right looking for any slight movement! His ears were fully open that he could even hear a fly if there was one here.
[Shortsword] Simon took his weapon out and proceeded carefully.
As he slowly opened the door it made a loud cracking noise as if hasn't been oiled in ages, What he saw was a ruined version of his room, the entire room looked as if a tornado just passed by, of course, Hary wasn't there, this is a dungeon!
PikyaAAAA! With a loud scream, something jumped from the rubble directly at Simon. Being jump scared he backed down and the thing missed him.
As Simon took a second look at the monstrosity in front of him. The thing was standing on two feet, being the same high as a child. His skin was dark green and its eyes glimmered with a menacing red glow, his ears were long resembling rabbits, and his face was full of blisters. Just from being there Simon could smell the thing sticking to high hell.
"Goblins? Not wolves?" Simon screamed as his expectation of an F rank dungeon was shattered, He had expected wolves but got Goblins, this meant the F rank dungeons were random!
