Chapter 7: Short training.
Simon started running with the soldiers immediately, It was a 10 loops run. The only thing on his mind is how much 16+1 body will get him compared to trained soldiers, trying to keep pace with them he exerted himself at the start! After running for a while he could tell that his performance improved, at this time he should be laying on the ground exhausted but instead, he was just starting to feel the exhaustion.
Time passed and passed, he could hardly catch his breath when he heard the notification.
[Run for 10 minutes...finished]
He was about to stop but he realized, the soldiers haven't stopped yet! they were still running, hold up! "Keep running, don't stop!" He heard Dina shout.
Oh, no! fine I will keep running, he didn't stop, kept pushing forward. he was getting slower and slower as his legs felt as heavy as stones. Suddenly he felt a pat on the back, one of the soldiers has done a full turn and now is behind Simon. "It's either you reach the goal or pass out! Otherwise, Dina will make sure you experience hell!" he said as he passed Simon. That woman was a problem, Simon thought for a moment he should have just ignored the daily quests and rested in his cell until the military school truck came to pick him up.
He kept running and ranging, never stopping until Dina caught him.
"You can stop now, you already passed the goal!" She said folding him, at that moment she felt the intense heat coming from his body, it felt like holding a bag of boiling water, he was sweating buckets. "Bring some water!" she shouted, looking at him in disbelief, what is this kid made of? Should I can an ambulance with how hot he is?
Simon slowly opened his eyes, he was laying on a bench in the shades, the exhaustion he felt before had faded out. Looking around, at the distance, a mock battle was happening, two soldiers are fighting while Dina was the referee.
What is happening? He at least knew he had passed out from exhaustion, he then stood up and walked to them.
"Who's winning?" He asked one of the soldiers watching, the one to respond was Dina, she gave a clear guess. "The one on the right, he still has enough strength and will win, the other seem exhausted!" She replied, and true to her guess the one on the right won the fight!
And another fight, Dina also guessed right, and every other match she was always right. She must be speaking from experience!
"Would you care to join?" She asked, totally meaning as a joke, she just saw him pass out from exhaustion and didn't expect to be able to perform well.
To her surprise, Simon walked into the ring! There was no actual ring but that formed by the soldiers watching.
I should be able to finish the losing daily quest at least, Without a shred of confidence in himself, he took the ring.
"Jack! You're up against him, don't hold back!" Dina shouted, the soldier who stood up had a similar build to Simon and looked fairly young, she seems to have picked the closest one to Simon's power, she didn't want it to be a one-sided beatdown!
Jack faced Simon with a smile, "Sorry I can't hold back or Dina will kill me!" Jack said as he took a fighting stance.
"Don't worry about me, I will lose anyway!" Simon said as he imitated Jack's stance, he was trying to at least learn from him.
Fight! Dina screamed signaling the start, Jack didn't hold back and charged directly with his guard up. With a low kick to the ankles, his goal was to drop Simon to the ground and finish the fight as fast as possible. There was a single big problem, Simon who was mimicking him is now doing the same move. Their kicks met at the middle, Moster of the soldiers watching closed their eyes as it was a painful hit to both of them.
"Aghaaaa!" Simon held his leg in pain. Jack on the other hand has formal training, he was able to push through the pain and kept charging at Simon, sending a left hook as if saying, "I dare you to mimic this!" All Simon could do was to move to the right as he tried to doge, he then saw the smile on Jack's face. It was then when he felt something on his chin, the left hook was a feint and he was hit by a right hook punch, directly to the chin shaking his brain!
It was over was what everyone thought, Even Dina was about to stop the match, then it happened.
With the first heartbeat, after he lost consciousness, a fresh, warm batch of blood surged through his brain, Simon's fight or flight reaction triggered violently, like a monster on death doors, he lashed out. To the watcher, Jack's punch connected, Simon was falling to the ground, as he was was in the middle of falling Simon changed his stance and sent a punch directly at jack's body. The liver!! direct hit. Dina's mouth was open, this is the first time she saw someone who wasn't affected by a chin knockout.
Without stopping, Simon followed with a punch directly to the temple, and back to the liver. Jack was already out, even so, Simon didn't seem to stop he held him by the neck and threw him to the ground, it was them when Dina interrupted the fight operating them, and Simon returned to his senses.
Dina thought that this is what she felt before, he was definitely a wild beast that won't fall down easily. She started to get a tingling feeling, I want to throw punches with him.

After that, they had to call medical aim for jack, he got beaten badly and better be checked by a doctor.
It only took a few minutes for the mock fights to start again, one after another they watched, nobody seemed to blame Simon. They said it was jack's fault for underestimating his opponent! He should have gone for a submission hold instead of a knockout as he was clearly more built than Simon! The only one who realized what actually happened was Dina, in her eyes, that fight was Jack's victory. Simon was the last one standing because somehow he didn't lose conciseness!
Woah!!! The soldier exclaimed in unison, as they looked toward Dina. Simon turned around to see as well.
Dina has taken her top off, only leaving a tank top, her build was actually scary, Simon thought. Those muscles didn't belong to a woman but to a bodybuilder. On close inspection, he could see countless scars on her, bullet wounds, slashes, surgical scars. She has definitely gone through a lot.
Slowly she walked to the ring, "Simon came here!" She called him to a match!
No way! Simon thought as he regretted ever getting on a tour with her!
Dina smiled, she wants to check him with her own hands, how strong he actually is before he is taken to the military school. She could feel her hair stand up, she hasn't felt this much excitement in years!
