Chapter 15: Falling for Rose

Andrew, who had watched their interaction had his hands balled into fists as he could feel his anger rising the more he spotted the smirk on Rowan's face.

Who on Earth was this man trying to steal his woman? Deep down his heart, he was not ready to let go Rose and for some reason seeing her in another man's arms bugged him greatly, not to mention seeing her kiss the same man.

At this moment, he silently made a vow and a swear that he was going to get Rose back. He wanted her back. She is his woman, and he is going to make sure she remains his woman and for the first time, he felt his heart beating in a certain strange pattern, taking a whole new direction.

Despite the fact that he has never fallen in love, he immediately knew that he had started falling for Rose.

He wanted to walk towards Rowan and punch him, but immediately stopped and gave back a provocative smirk the moment he remembered that Rose loved him and he knew that the chances of her still loving him were very high and that she was just upset and didn't want to see him for the time being.

He silently patted his suit jacket as he intended to walk away, but immediately paused his actions when he felt a strong overbearing presence right before him. He lifted his head and his eyes came into direct contact with Rowan's.

"Tsk.. being courageous as a man is nothing bad but need I remind you Mr Hart that you are treading on thin glass. I hate being annoyed, something you just so happened to do. Keep your distance away from MY WOMAN. Do not even dare breathe the same air that she does. I don't care if you end up dying but have any thoughts about MY WIFE again and I might have to take care of you in a 'special' way."

Rowan's cold voice alongside his suffocating aura was scaring the man to his wits and he seemed to be enjoying so much as he gave him one last glare before heading back to the party.

Andrew immediately breathed a sigh of relief once Rowan figure disappeared knowing very well he was utterly defeated but the man in him was not ready to give up. He just had to go ahead of him and win back Rose. Afterall, she loves him...Hehe.. He laughed and his good mood immediately reflecting on his face, his mind full of Rose.

From a certain dark corner stood a a charming, gorgeous man who just smirked as he finished watching the interaction between the three. The more he smirked the more the assistant beside him shivered wondering what was happening to his boss.

"Interesting..but they do not stand a chance against me. Martin, inform mother that I have found her a daughter-in-law. One that I am ready to destroy the whole world for."

Martin the clueless assistant:●_●

"Yes President. Right away."

"Rose Katz... Rose Katz.." The man stood absentmindedly as he continuously mentioned Rose as if to test how sweet her name rolled off his tounge.

Rose walked back to the event her face blank once again but she was fuming with so much anger deep down because how dare he? He cheated multiple times and still acted as if he did nothing, even having the audacity to call her his!

'Hmm.. Looks like I need to give him some work, he seems so idle.'

Her smirk was back again as she headed to her table, took out her phone and typed a note to remind her to do something the moment she went back to her penthouse.

While she was busy on her phone, she did not notice two ladies eyeing her as they spoke to a waiter, their gazes obviously malicious.

The waiter shortly came back with a tray full of champagne glasses as one of the girls took out two glasses before approaching Rose.

"Attention everyone! I would love to propose a toast to President Katz! Please have your glasses near you."

Rose, who was busy doing her business immediately felt alert the moment she heard that voice, and when she looked up, she couldn't help but groan when she realized who the lady was. She quickly did a full scan on the lady and couldn't help but snear deep down.

This girl is Phoebe Anderson, and the girl behind her being Yolanda William. Some scam heiresses and small time actors in the entertainment industry.

Of course, she had done a whole research on anything related to Abigael and realized that these were Abigael's lackeys. They could do anything for her provided they benefited back.

Her immediate thought was that they came to ruin her image and cause drama.

She thought that they were sent by Abigail, but what she did not realize is that Phoebe was currently targeting her because she seemed so close to Rowan.

As she took the Champagne from Phoebe she couldn't help but immediately detect some drug inside the drink. And because everyone's eye were on her, she had to think and come up with an immediate plan so as not to drink from the glass without raising any suspicion whatsoever.

As if heavens was hearing her prayer, Phoebe, who was about to toast to her, immediately remembered something important and put her wine glass on top of the table as she told people to just hold on as she headed towards the music section.

To anyone who saw her actions, they could perceive it as a fan girl, being happy seeing another woman in leadership.

Oh how wrong they were!

Since she had decided to attract attention, most of the people's eyes were following her. This helped Rose calm down a lot and as if there was some telepathy between her and Cora, Cora immediately realized that something was wrong.

She immediately walked towards Rose's direction with a smile, inwardly thanking God that no one was paying attention to her.

As she walked towards her sister's direction, she intentionally blocked the champagne glasses' table and this gave Rose the opportunity to immediately switch the glasses.

She gave Cora a grateful smile as she picked up the glass that Phoebe was holding, switching it with the glass that she had been given.

Unaware that her plan had been unfolded, Phoebe rushed back to hold her wine glass as Abigail and Yolanda looked at her, knowing what she was about to do, smiled at her cheekily accompanied by a secretive thumbs up.

"To President Katz!"

"To President katz!".

Everyone else followed Phoebe's Cheer towards Rose as they toasted their glasses and immediately emptied their glasses.
