She closed her eyes and chuckled as she collided without knowing that Shane was there no matter when.

She looked small in front of him and she could smell his masculine body which she could now remember what he smelled like.

"Do you want to go out with me?" asked Shane. "At least you can share your story with me."

Jade sighed. She nodded and Shane led them first. Only then did Jade keep pace with his side.

"How did they find out?" Jade asked Shane.

"Looks like Mara found one of Ace's belongings that were left around here half-buried," replied Shane.

Shane looked at the worry on Jade's face. He knew that Jade was afraid that Max and his family would be disappointed in her.

"Would they know if it was my father?" Jade asked.

"They expected it, Jade. But you won't be affected. What they know, you don't know. But, we don't know the future."
