Chapter 23: Acquisition

Ji Anren chatted casually with Su Xiaonai. Su Xiaonai's attitude was a little cold, but Ji Anren didn't seem to notice at all. He continued talking in high spirits.

Su Xiaonai suddenly asked.

"Why did you decide to return to China?"

Ji Anren held the steering wheel with both hands and smiled as he replied jokingly.

"Perhaps I'm not used to the delicacies abroad. The food's better in China.

"I've only been back for a short while. I made the decision to be the best programmer when I returned.

"Otherwise, I'd have to go home and inherit the family business. My family is forcing me to do it."

The car suddenly came to a traffic light. As Ji Anren spoke, he turned around and smiled at Su Xiaonai.

Su Xiaonai felt a little awkward, but she didn't show it on her face. She smiled faintly, but she somehow felt what Ji Anren had said sounded pretentious.

He sounded like he was bragging about his family's money.
