"How could this be?" Asahi anxiously paced around the room with blood on his fingertips. He had been biting his nails nonstop.
Ayami was seated on her chair, her eyes glued to the man. There was a frown on her face as she couldn't help but feel a little annoyed.
"You know what my biggest regret in life is?" Ayami suddenly spoke up. It was unclear whether the man was even listening to her or not, but she continued nonetheless, "It's assuming that we were alike. That one day we could come to understand one another."
"It can't be. He can't be. It's not true. He's dead. He's dead. He's dead." The man continued to mutter to himself.
"I saved you and yet... This is how you repay me," Ayami couldn't help but scoff in disbelief, "I bet everything on you and now, this is what I get...?! Just how unfair does God have to be?"
"I killed him. It was him. I did it. I killed him. He's dead. I pushed him. I did. Me. It was me."
