Chapter 6: "A Lie For Own Good"
Fabian still wants to know about Paulo whereabouts and the reason for coming home so late after the college. Kesi trying to calm Fabian but it doesn't work, Paulo wants to keep it secret about becoming a part of Parma C.F and now playing football with them . He just lies to him and said that " I am working as a part time librarian in the college, I am supposed to arrange all the books in the shelves according to their particular subject before the liberary is closed ". Fabian just believe what he said to him and says "Finally ! you're doing something sensible after such a long time". As Fabian believed in his words, Paulo feels relieaved as his secret never came in front of his father, after that whole family have the dinner together. Paulo eats his dinner in a hurry, after having dinner he went straight to his room for sleep as he was very tired because of his activities that he did today, he says good night to his family while they are still thinking that why he went to sleep so early. Paulo laying in his bed, cliping his sore toes as it was bit painful for but even though he was still excited about tomorrow going to train first time with Parma C.F team.
Next morning Paulo wake up gets himself ready for the college, he arrive to the kitchen for breakfast and greets everyone with a good morning. Paulo sits on the dining table with his father, Cara serve him the breakfast and Paulo starts to eat. During his breakfast Paulo having a smile on his face due the excitement, Fabian finds it something fishy that's why he directly asked Paulo " What makes you happy about ?, Is there anything special in your college today ?" Paulo replied " No dad, there is nothing special today in college, and for being so happy um I don't know but I am feeling happy for no reason". Fabian with an awkward look at him just ignore what he said and tells him to come back early from college because his father got a huge order of Cuban sandwiches after such a long time and needs him there at his restraunt to help him to deliver them. Since it was first day for Paulo in the training and he simply don't wanted to be absent he makes an excuse by saying that he cannot be absent at his first day of his part time job as a librarian. Fabian somehow understand and said "Ok I'll manage you do your job". Somehow Paulo after managing to save himself, eats his breakfast and went out for college.
Paulo calls Catherine out for college, the minutes have passed but she never comes out from her house. Paulo just simply go and knocks the door of her house, someone opens the door but it was not Catherine but her mother who opens the door. Both greet each other with a good morning, Paulo ask her about Catherine as they have to go college, Catherine's mother tells him that she had already left for college, Paulo feels kind a weird because Catherine never suppose to go to the college without him. However Paulo just forgets about it for a while, thanks her mother and leaves for college. As Paulo arrives to the college he was stopped by Armani who's likely to make him feel worse about not getting selected in the college team, Armani try to make him jealous about becoming the captain of the college team while Paulo couldn't even make it but doesn't even feel bad from his words because he knows that he's getting to train himself with his favourite club Parma C.F he does not even care about his words. Paulo just simply smiles, congratulates Aramni for becoming the captain of college team and heads to his classroom leaving him uncertain.
After the half time of college Paulo goes out of his classroom in the search of Catherine to now the reason of her coming to the college without him. He finds her out in her classroom as she was arranging some decoration stuff with her friends regarding to dance party organized by college before the final exams. Paulo calls her out of the class to talk but Catharine seems to be angry with him about yesterday, she tries to ignore him at first but then listens to him, she just simply ask Paulo "What do you want ?" in a very rude manner, Paulo feels strange and questions about why she came to the college without him in morning she replies " just like you left me all alone yesterday in the evening and you to just giving a ball to those strangers" Paulo ask her "So you're still angry about yesterday hmm ?". Catherine doesn't say word to him but it was clear for Paulo that she angry because what happend yesterday.
Paulo apologize her for what happend and make promise to her that they'll go to the lake together this weekend but Catherine said "I don't trust you anymore" Paulo didn't say anything he just puts his hand in his pocket pulls out her favourite milk chocolate and said " I know how to win your trust !". Catherine seems to be little bit happy to know that Paulo still knows how to win her trust back she snatches the chocolate away from him and said "It's okay I still haven't forgiven you". Paulo ask her what he have to do for forgiveness, she then tells him " There's going to be a dance party in our college before our final exams and I want you to be my partner and you can't say no to me if you want me to forgive you ". Paulo agrees to be her partner at dance party, Catherine seems overjoyed by that she then tells him that after the college she will come to his home for dance practice but Paulo spoils her plan because tells her that after the college he is going to the training ground of Parma C.F as they wanted him to play them.
Catherine seemingly quite again unhappy with Paulo, however she tries hard to be ok with it. Paulo makes her a request to not to reveal anything to his family because he kept it as a secret to them. The half-time of the college is over, Paulo head back to his class while Catherine was still looking at him when he was going back to his class. Catherine feels worried about her friendship with Paulo because of his increasing obsession towards football, she doesn't want Paulo to opt football as his career because she feels that once Paulo gets into it he surely will leave her behind and her love for him will remain incomplete forever.
