Chapter 24: Chapter 24: The Drop

They drove home after dinner to fulfill their movie date. Maria went over to her room to wash up and change into more comfortable pajamas that were prepared for her by the maidservant.

After a while, Zeronis fetched her to her room and led her into a certain place in the house. Maria wasn't surprised anymore when he brought her into his private movie theater with only ten large seats in there. 

There were foods prepared on the side table near the two couches intended for them.

Maria happily plopped on one of those couches and Zeronis followed suit with a remote in his hand. A huge monitor descended from the ceiling and it awed her.

"Here. Take a pick." he handed her the remote and she happily complied like a little girl handed a new toy.

Zeronis poured champagne for both of them in a glass. "Here."

"Thanks." she accepted it and placed down the remote when she already picked the movie and let it play on the monitor.
