Chapter 153: Celebrity / 2.19 : Never a choice

Yinglun ran down the stairs when a maid told her that Sicheng was back from work. She entered the living room and helped him take his jacket off and put his bag down. She sat next to him and asked:

"How was your day?"

Even if she doesn't care she has to pretend. She can't just ask did you speak to Atlas. Sicheng said:

"It was okay."

"Did you see Atlas?".

Sicheng nodded. Seeing that he wasn't elaborating she asked:

"Did you talk to him about what we did?"

"I didn't."

"Why?"

Sicheng pulled out a file from his bag as he explained:

"The laboratory at the hospital called me and they told me there was a specific reason why Atlas was a perfect match for you."

He pulled out a paper from the file and gave it to her.

Yinglun grabbed the paper and read it. She looked at it wide-eyed and felt her heartbeat quicken. She pretended to keep reading as she thought of a way to get out of this mess without Sicheng hating her.
