Chapter 13: TRAGEDY IN THE MORNING
The next day a girl was still in the room, but John and Mara didn't want to see her yet so one of them who was at the dinner table spoke.
"Honey, where's our daughter?" asked John, who had just sat down at the table. "Why hasn't she been seen yet?"
"Maybe Via is still getting ready," replied Mara, who had just finished putting away some of the food that was served in front of her. "We'll just have to wait a little longer."
"Okay," said John, who was currently watching the upstairs bedroom door which was still tightly closed.
After that, Mara, who saw him, was silent while smiling at the person in front of her. The girl sighed for a moment before finally shaking her head and pulling the chair in front of her husband.
However, before that happened, John spoke, which made Mara reluctant to sit down.
"Why are you sitting there?" the man asked. "Don't you think of me as your husband?"
"Hey, why are you talking like that?"
"Then why did you choose to sit there?"
Mara who heard it immediately sighed and shook her head so that now the woman who knew it folded her arms across her chest.
"What do you want?"
"Come here," John said, touching the chair beside him. "Sit next to me."
Somehow the woman felt strange about the behavior of someone in front of her. Sometimes Mara didn't understand whether John was aware of his age or not so now she who knew she shook her head before she finally approached him.
"Where should I sit?" she asked. Even though Mara knew it, she wanted to see how her husband was sulking so that now she who knew about it smiled secretly.
John who heard that said, "Are you kidding or don't you know?" The man's gaze at his wife was so full of intimidation that Mara, who realized that her husband already knew it, immediately chuckled.
"Sorry, I was just joking," said Mara smiling. Meanwhile, John who saw it immediately squinted his eyes and said, "Come on, sit down or I will be angry with you!"
"John, do you realize your age?"
"Sure, I'm still 20, right?" said John confidently.
Of course hearing, this made Mara immediately widen her eyes so that now the girl shook her head before finally getting closer to John who was still watching her intently.
"Honey, do you have to look like that?"
"Is it a problem for you?"
"Of course, can you be a little gentle?"
After that John's gaze instantly softened so that the woman who knew it immediately breathed a sigh of relief with her sweet smile. Then the man saw Mara who was now sitting right beside him.
"It is done, right?" said Mara.
"You're getting more and more beautiful, yeah, Mara. I can't see you like this."
At the same time, a girl came and cleared her throat, causing John and Mara who were looking at each other to immediately focus their attention on the person in front of them.
"What time is it?" Via asked in a hoarse voice.
"6:00 am Honey. Why?" It was not Mara who answered, but John so that Via who heard this immediately snorted in amusement.
"Then why are you guys making out in the morning?"
For a moment John and Mara fell silent with each other before finally one of them spoke.
"So what?" the man asked. "Daddy loved your mother, and she will always be the last love in my life. Everyone has a love that cannot be expressed in words, so it will be shown through attitude. So Miss Via, don't you want a companion? "
Via, who was eating her food, immediately stopped her movement, then the girl looked at John who was currently looking at her. Meanwhile, Mara nudged the man beside her for saying something that made the girl a little moodier than before.
"Dad, didn't I already say that I still want to achieve my goals? So for now I haven't thought about anything other than studying."
Hearing that made John immediately sigh for a moment before finally folding his arms across his chest.
"I'm just afraid that you will find it difficult to have a partner because of the intelligence you have," said John with his head lowered. "What I mean is ... a girl like you would be hard to fall in love with, maybe you're still looking and looking for the right one for you, or ... you're feeling wasting your time loving someone you can't be with."
Instantly Via immediately fell silent after hearing what the father had just said so that now the girl who knew it was back to continue eating without intending to respond.
Unlike John and Mara who are currently looking at their daughter sadly, they already know the cause, but both prefer not to say anything because Via will not like it.
"Finish your food, Via."
"Yes, Mom."
On the other hand at this time a man was on his way to the office. After the drama of being late getting up because he had a hard time falling asleep last night, he didn't have time to have breakfast first so his parents asked Van to bring lunch from home.
A smile was etched on his face when he saw the lunch containing jam bread and a bottle of drinking water for him made Van shake his head for a moment.
"I was very young at the time," Van muttered then shook his head and looked back at the fairly busy highway. "It reminds me of my old school days."
Then Van again felt dizzy in his head when an image of a girl with a boy flashed, the young man who knew it stopped his car suddenly, causing several vehicles to honk their horns.
"What happened?" said a man who walked closer to the Van who was currently feeling pain in his head. He knocked on the glass door of his vehicle repeatedly until Van finally opened the door and faced the man. "Did you know that what you did was dangerous to all riders?!"
"I'm sorry, Sir. I admit that I'm guilty," said Van before finally feeling the pain in his head again. At the same time he took out his phone from his pocket, then he tried to call someone for help.
At the moment when he felt pain in his head, now Van heard the voice of his sister who answered, making the man speak immediately.
"Hello, Brother."
"V-vin ... h-help ... m-me!!!"
"Bro, what happened?!"
"My head ... i-it hurts!"
"Please send me your current location, I will follow you there soon!"
After that Van again groaned loudly enough to feel the pain in his head that was excruciating.
"Aaakhhhh!!!"
