Chapter 44: Dracula
Dual cultivation is nothing but simply two people cultivating together to improve their strengths. It was called partnership cultivation at its start.
It may be sparring of two people, two people cultivating together, two people training together, and many many things involving two people by which the practitioners had a trusted partner on their side. It doesn't matter who the partner is either male or female. This method usually worked out well because it is based on mutual friendship and trust.
There are also two notable methods which are 'martial attraction' and 'Soul and Spirit'.
'Martial Attraction' is seen as very rarer because it needed an attractive type of martial form to cultivate. For example, A Tiger martial form and a cat martial form of opposite genders are naturally attracted towards each other because they are of the same family so someone with interest and trust with martial soul attraction mostly ended up being a couple.
'Soul and Spirit' technique needs a knight and a mage. Gender doesn't matter as long as they are a knight and a mage. They will be considered peers or partners. This is a widely accepted method to cultivate Because it is so convenient. As for leveling up both spirit and soul essence are essential. But mages are good at cultivating spirit essence and knights are good at cultivating soul essence. They would sit near each other and cultivate. The soul energy fluctuation of a knight will naturally attack the spirit energy of the mage and vice-versa.
The constant attack of the dominant attributes will let the recessive traits improve their strength by absorbing the other person's energy. As the dominant attribute of kight is the recessive attribute of a mage and vice-versa it is used to train people in groups.
Apart from this is yin-yang cultivation. It involves intercourse of females and males respectively. It is also a perverted method used to cultivate. Because of this women seduced powerful men and men abducted powerful women with sedatives. It also led to the betrayal of the beloveds. They would dare to abandon because the benefits were too huge but heartless. It had the concept of the stronger your partner is the more your benefits are. So usually anyone would like to get a strong cultivation partner for themselves.
Because of their heartless and cruel nature, many fought over with their friends and siblings because of their partners and there are also records of murder. Teens and Elderly people were no exception. To get control over this situation the government strictly implemented a law. It is illegal to cultivate this method before 18. Most sects and academies chose to teach this method only to couples who were married. But some cults and fiend sects cultivate casually.
Yin-Yang was not only an easy method to cultivate but also a method that gives utmost pleasure. It gives two benefits and also the method which gave a quick breakthrough.
The term Dual Cultivation was coined by Allia Butler whose profession is unknown. It was named because of the double benefits anyone would get when they cultivate. It is another term for partnership cultivation.
But dual cultivation represents the yin-yang cultivation method at present.
After Ayla narrated her story of her and her tiny friend William felt proud and boasted that she did the right thing. Lin Cian smiled at her and said
"So sad. It will be so embarrassing for her teacher to know that she didn't know about that"
William and Ayla laughed at what he said. After a while, Ayla said as she was laughing
"I don't think so. Her teacher is a great person because she was refined and made into a treasure"
Lin Cian smiled internally. William stared at Ayla and she continued.
"She is the best person I have ever met. Despite her age, she is the only one who can be compared to me at my age level. In terms of attainments, her gift is bigger than mine. But I felt she deserve it. It is not easy to accept someone like themselves. She said those things she learned from her teacher" she said with an exaggerating tone.
"Do you know her teacher?" Asked William because he was so surprised to see a strong person at a very young age. "If she is very young then her teacher should be an extraordinarily talented person," said William.
Lin Cian raised his eyebrows.
"She said.... gho...st," she said in a slow and awful tone as she raised her eyes towards Lin Cian.
Lin Cian smiled at her and said sighed
"He must be talented"
Vampires don't involve themselves in dual cultivation. All they want is blood to fill their stomach. They trick people with no defense or people with no awareness and suck their blood out by making them unconscious which helps them to improve their strength.
Dracula could hide their breath so they used it to outnumber their enemies and showed themselves as superior beings. Dracula himself, the ancestor is indeed a supreme being with enormous strength and intelligence but his descendants were not strong as him. They call themselves the descendants of Dracula and wanted to rule the world but Dracula ordered them not to go out of their territory.
But after the sudden disappearance of Dracula, his descendants attacked many races out of blue. But unlike Dracula, they don't possess almighty strength so many vampires will hide their presence but a few will be visible. Those people fight in stealth. This is to improve the fear among them to the other species that the Dracula are powerful creatures that ever existed.
After a few minutes of chit-chatting when Ayla got comfortable with Lin Cian
"Can I ask you something?"
A pair of eyes were staring at her without any sound. It was Lin Cian expecting her question. Knowing what he was thinking she continued
"How did you defeat them?"
"I learned from Dracula"
It seemed that Lin Cian is the only person to see through their ultimate trick in history. That was possible because he is also an expert in hiding and sneaking. Although the letter from the 'Killing road' stated that those things are important, those skills of his were inspired by Dracula himself. The book 'Vampire Dairies' said his tales. It is thought to be a mythical book but it worked just fine for Lin Cian.
Ayla was shocked to hear his answer but was wondering about how it would have happened. Seeing that she is confused William started to speak
"He hasn't met him but he has read how vampires attack and their habits and managed to create some skills from them," he said with a calm and composed look.
