Chapter 223: master and servant

"Do you know who they are?" Alex asked after a moment of thought.

Maria looked at Alex and after a moment of hesitation, she nodded and opened her mouth…

"They are the assassin guild" she said with strong hatred in her voice. Her hatred was not without course, the assassin guild had ruined everything for her in the first place.

"And why did you agree to work with them? Even though you were forced, you could have refused" Elsa asked, if she was in Maria's place, she would rather die than work for the people who destroyed everything she had.

"I-i… I wanted to slowly get stronger while working for them to gain their trust and lower their guards towards me while searching for their headquarters and other branches, when I'm strong enough, I will destroy them by myself" she stuttered at first but her words became more firm and bold as she went on.

Alex and Elsa nodded, they understood what she had planned but they had run into Alex so that plan had been thrown through the window.
