Chapter 14: Chapter 13: Cleria’s Decision

Chapter 13: Cleria's Decision
The next day, in my underground lab.
Cleria, Ray, and I were sitting on the sofa drinking tea as I told Cleria about how this world was a novel in my previous world and the truth behind the King piece.
I also told her that if she starts investigating then in the next two years the Devil council will brand her as a traitor and will try to kill her.
Hearing my story Cleria said, "Ethan dear it doesn't matter to me that I was a novel Character in your previous life.
I am me, no one else and it's the truth that I love you and will continue to love for eternity."
Hearing that a smile appeared on my face as I placed her in my lap and gave her a deep kiss.
"I love you Cleria and to me, you are a living person, not an imaginary character created by some writer for his story," I said to Cleria while looking into her eyes with a loving expression on my face.
As I and Cleria were immersed in our little world we heard an angry cough from my right.
"*Cough Cough"
On looking to my right, we saw a pouting Ray, who was angry that we left her alone.
"Sorry Ray, here let me make up for it with you," I said to her as I moved towards her and gave her a deep and passionate kiss.
Then I asked Cleria "So Cleria what are your thoughts are now about the investigation on 'King Piece'"
"Hmm…" Cleria put a finger on her chin making a cute thinking face and then a moment later she said, "I am still going to investigate about it but I want one of your team of shadow assassins to do the investigation as I don't want anyone to target me or my family, our finances are still not on the same level as the other families even if the brother is the rating game champion due to the past mistakes of the previous house heads.
Most of the land under my family is mountain regions inhabited by high-class and other demonic beasts and the soil of the leftover land is not suitable to grow many varieties of crops."
Hearing the condition of their family I started patting her back while Ray pats her head to ease her worries.
After Cleria calmed down I said to her, "Cleria if you want to investigate 'King piece' I will help you with it myself and as for the financial problem of your family, I promise you I will help you with that but it will take at least 2 years to start.
One more thing, in less than a year the peace treaty between the Shinto faction and the Devils will break and the Shinto faction will take back all the town that they have given to the devil faction to supervise over and that time you have to go back to the Underworld for a while.
A year after that I will help you in improving Belial territory, I promise so please wait until then."
"Okay, I will wait and in the meantime, I will do my best to become stronger and stand by your side in the future and help my family." Said Cleria as she smiles at me.
I and Ray also smile at Cleria's decision.
For now, everything has been cleared that needs to be, now only one thing is left so I said "Now, let me show you the thing for which I mainly called you here today. Let's move to the research floor"
Then we moved the research floor which is now on the second floor, during the past year I have extended my lab by two new floors, as from the start the first floor consists of a library, second of the research room, the third one has Training room for me, Cleria and Ray and Fourth floor where all the information is stored that is gathered by my shadow servants.
In the research room, I took out a beautiful Red-Orb from my inventory and showed it to Cleria and Ray. Both of them were looking at it closely as even the latter one had only seen it from a distance when I was inspecting it yesterday.
After Cleria has seen enough of the red-orb, Cleria asks me "So darling, what is this red-orb. I can feel a very strong aura from it."
I raised one of my eyebrows when Cleria called me 'Dear' but she only gave a smile in return so I just smiled back as I liked the sound of it.
Then I looked at the red-orb in my hand and started speaking as Cleria had her full attention on my words "It is the Longinus-Class Sacred Gear, called [Boosted Gear] that has Ddraig sealed inside it, one of the two heavenly dragons. I took it yesterday from its current host without killing him."
Cleria was shocked beyond belief as she kept looking at me with her eyes wide open and mouth open making an 'O' shape.
I waved my hand in front of her eyes and she didn't respond then an idea came to my mind, putting the boosted gear back into my inventory. I moved and stood behind her and hugged her from behind and blew air in her ear that broke her trance and I stopped.
Cleria looked at me, her face reddened but from her eyes, I could see that she wanted to feel more of that.
"I will do it later and fulfill your need, you too Ray." I said while looking at Ray who has her on hand touching her lower region, she blushed when I caught her touching that. Then both of them just nodded and I continued.
"But first I want to see what type of personality Ddrage has by seeing its memories and then based on those memories I will decide if I will use it as my normal booster gear or erase its personality and fuse its soul with mine."
"Okay, let's start then, I am curious to know about what kind of being one of the two heavenly dragons was. Right Ray" said Cleria and Ray only nodded in agreement.
"Okay, but let's sit first." saying that I take out a three-person couch from my inventory.
Taking our seats on the couch I grabbed the Red-orb with both hands and said "You two touch the orb with one of your hands and close your eyes and try to send your consciousness inside it. I will take care of the rest"
They did as I said and touched the [Boosted Gear] with their hands and closed their eyes while trying to send their consciousness inside it. I also did the same and sent my consciousness inside the gear and then used soul magic.
