Chapter 6: 'Raid' on Larkinge [1]

[Early 1507, in a cave somewhere on White Tiger island]
A 15-year-old, 5,10 kid with long black hair in a ponytail traveled through a cave with 3 meatheads. 'why the hell did he send these retards with me? It would be much faster if it was just me.' Noah thought to himself. It's been another few months since the raid on Wolfwater. Since then Jared and the crew have destroyed or overthrown every major town except the capital Larkinge.
Jared sent me on a mission to find a good BOO (A/N base of operations) for overthrowing Larkinge, he sent Aiden out in a different direction. The stupidly prideful king hasn't called in the marines yet. I'm not gonna be the one to look a gift horse in the mouth though. He sent these three idiots with me for some reason, I guess he didn't want me keeping any treasure I found for myself or something.
We're walking through this cave in a group, everyone looking in a different direction with me on point. I decided if I had these meatheads with me I better make use of them. We walked semi-slowly trying to get through this place fast but quietly. Soon we came across a large room, it was built completely in stone and looked very old. It was dark with only small windows at the top which didn't help much as it was already evening.
We started walking through the room trying to see something. It was hard because everything was just shadowed until our eyes finally adjusted and I heard one of the fodder say. "Oh shit! Noah, look over there!" He whisper-shouted at me.
"What do you wan- oh shit." I looked behind me and what I saw shocked me to my core. A giant black stone with a strange language inscribed on it. But what's more, a giant white tiger was sleeping on top of it. I looked over to the fodder and said "listen to me fuck faces, walk single file as slowly as you can over to the entrance. And don't make a single sound. I'll go first."
I started walking towards the entrance slowly and the fodder followed. We were almost at the entrance to the room when suddenly the ceiling cracked a little bit and a single rock fell down perfectly landing on the white tiger's head.
""Ah fuck"" we all said simultaneously as the tiger slowly woke up and then looked at us as if we just defiled the church of Roxy's panties. "RUN," I said as we started sprinting back to the outside world closely followed by the rampaging giant white tiger.
I turned sharp left into a small crack in the wall squeezing through and seeing light on the other side. I looked behind me for the fodder and 2 of them were able to squeeze in while 1 fat ass was struggling to make it in the crack.
Another fodder was trying to pull him through but when he realized the other guy was too fat tried to let go however, the fatass didn't let go of the regular guy. screaming "DON'T LEAVE ME I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!"
"FUCKFACE LET GO OF ME!" The other fodder said trying not to die until the tiger finally caught up with us. It grabbed the fatass with its jaws and pulled unplugging the fatass from the crack. Unfortunately for the fodder, the fatass didn't let go even when he was being mauled to death.
"Hey! let's go they're gonna die either way," I said to the last fodder alive. He gave one final look to the entranceway and we started to make our way to the other side of the crack. Once we got through the fodder instantly fell on the ground. I started to look around, it seemed to be deep in the forest. I can't see a damn thing between the darkness and foliage.
I went to the tallest tree I could see and started climbing. "Where the hell are you going?!" fodder said.
"Getting my bearings, jerk off into a bush if you get bored," I said ignoring his screams until I got to the top of the tree. I looked at the horizon and saw the sunset. 'Beautiful but dangerous, we need to get back before dark.' I scanned the forest and spotted a column of smoke to my left. I looked down only to see fodder actually beating off into a bush.
'HAHA! Wait, I just got an idea.' I pulled down my pants and stood on a steady branch. *pissing SFX* I released the flood gates on this poor fodder.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!!" Fodder screamed while drowning in the yellow liquid.
"GAHAHAAHAAHAHA!"
[1 hour later]
We're now walking through the forest after fodder bathed in a pond. I couldn't help myself, it was too funny. Anyways, we started moving to the column of smoke that I assumed was our camp. By now we should basically be at the camp.
For the past few months, I've been training. Both my combat ability and combat experience have increased dramatically. I'm easily on par with Aiden now, Brian is relatively easy to defeat now. Of course, in raw strength and experience, Brian is probably stronger than me. However not by much, and if you consider my agility I can wipe the floor with him.
It's finally dark but we made it back to camp.
"Ah, Noah! How did it go?" Aiden asked as he noticed me come into the camp. This is supposed to be a temporary camp while Jared gathers the rest of the forces to finally overthrow the king.
"Horrible, this is the only fodder left." I pointed to the fodder panting behind me.
"Damn what the hell happened?" Aiden asked.
"We went into a big cave and it turned out there was a giant white tiger in there. I barely escaped with my life, this guy is only alive 'cuz he isn't fat."
"I see. Let's avoid that area for now then, I'll go notify Jared about this. Get some rest, for now. We're gonna attack Larkinge within a week."
"Heh, nice..." I said as a smirk crept onto my face
[1 week later]
I was inside Larkinge with my cloak on. Ever since we started our campaign across White-Tiger island I've gotten quite the bounty on my head. 50,000,000 beri It might seem like a lot but our bandit group literally threatens an entire kingdom. Jared's bounty has been increased to 100,000,000.
The raid on Wolfwater alone increased Jared, Aiden, and Brians's bounties by quite a lot. It also earned me a bounty of real value. Ever since then we've raided a bunch of towns, destroying most, occupying the rest. The way Jared operates is efficient, to say the least. He kills everyone not useful and puts the townspeople we've enslaved on the front lines.
As for Aiden, he's a good commander and is also ruthlessly efficient like when he stabbed that elite guard killing him instantly without even hearing him beg. Brian on the other hand is weaker than Aiden or Jared but is much smarter and is usually the one talking during war talks. My bounty is probably from the governor of Wolfwater. He saw how I helped Brian and Aiden kill the elite guards. Ever since then my bounty has been on the up and up.
Right now trying to get an easy entrance into the city for our main forces. I've done this a few times before but it gets harder and harder to sneak around every time we capture a town or city.
Their security has increased along with the general publics' weariness about trusting strangers. I have to sneak into the city at night just to get in as they don't trust anyone coming in. Other than WG of course, I've never seen this kingdom use the marines at all but they still pay the WG lots of money.
This time there doesn't really seem to be an easy way into the city. Even for me, sneaking in here was hard. Security is as tight as your step-bro's asshole. However, taking a closer look at the city I realized that they had an advanced sewer system that we could exploit to get directly to the center of the town. I went to the nearest den den mushi booth and called Jared's number.
*perurururururururururururu--gatcha*
"Noah, tell me everything."
"Of course..." I began to tell him about the security and how we could exploit the sewers to get into the city.
"Ok, I just got to our new camp so I'll talk to Aiden and try to make a plan."
"We're gonna make a plan this time?"
"Yes, I think the ol king guy is getting desperate. This is his final hold on this island so if he wants to keep his island and life he'd call in the marines right now."
"Huh, well let me know the plan later. I'm gonna hang around Larkinge for a little while more."
"Well, tell me anything you find."
*gatcha*
[on the other end of a little black snail.]
"Hoh, this might be slightly interesting!" Said a large man with a white cape with the word 'Justice' written on the back.
[A few days later]
I returned to our BOO a few days ago. We've been pretty stagnant recently but I'm getting involved with Jared and Aidens war talks. Brian was tasked with running the rest of the island. I think Jared wants to use Brian as a figurehead.
We finally came up with a half-good plan. Firstly I would take a small bunch of troops forward first to clear the entrance to the sewers which usually had medium to light security. Then when the way was clear I would signal Jared with a den den mushi and he and Aiden would take command bringing the troops through the sewers, which were designed to move heavy equipment through the city, directly to the center of town where we would pop out and destroy the city from there.
The reason we were gonna destroy it rather than overthrow the king and take his throne was to demoralize the rest of the citizens that we have under our control now. With their capital gone and the king dead they would be completely under Jared's control.
In the dead of night, a single voice struck through the bandit camp. "OK, everyone listen up! Were starting the raid on Larkinge!" It was Jared.
*cheering*
"All you have to do is follow our orders and trust us. I need a small group of volunteers to go with Noah to clear the route." Eventually, a good group of bandits gathered around me.
I turned to Jared and said. "I'll be in touch when we finish up."
"Be quick we need this to be smooth." With those words, I departed towards the Larkinge sewers.
[A little while later]
Were in the bushes just above the sewer exit. The security is really light, too light. We started sneaking towards the small group of guards. There are maybe 10 or so guards stumbling around. It looks like they're drunk or something.
We need to do this quietly to not alert the town to our presence. I ordered my men to stay as quiet as possible and take all 10 down at once. We had about 15 people altogether. I thought there were gonna be a lot more guards.
We were directly above the idiots who were in charge of guarding the sewer entrance. "KILL EM!" I shouted, my 15 men jumped down assassin's creed style killing the guards. It was easy, way too easy…
I pulled out my den den mushi and called Jared to report.
*gatcha* "Jared, we took care of it. But I don't think we should do this, it's too risky. the guards were just stammering idiots." I said.
"No, we have to do this now! My dream is so close I can almost taste it. I'm coming with the rest of the troops."
"But-- *gatcha* shit"
[45 minutes later]
"Noah, lead us through the sewers."
"Ok, but don't blame me if we all die," I said, this seems really sketchy. We started walking through the tunnel, it wasn't hard even without large numbers as the capital sewers were very large, large enough for 250 people to walk with breathing room.
I finally saw the exit. "Jared, we're here."
"HAH, finally! get ready boys!" Jared said, our troops started drooling just imagining the spoils. I can see the end of the tunnel, we moved as fast as possible. We need to get this done quickly and smoothly. Finally, we exited the tunnel but suddenly the people in the front stopped.
"What the hell!" I screamed and looked in horror at a giant wooden wall erected around the sewer entrance.
"Welcome scum! This will be your end!" A large man with a white cape said.
