Asher looked like he could burst into flames any moment from now. He couldn't wrap his head around what she just told him.

He knew now that playing the homeless Asher was getting him nowhere, maybe it was time to let her see the stricter version of himself. The billionaire who always got what he wanted.

"Get out then" He told her. "You want to take your chances with the authorities, do it. You don't want to love me anymore because I tried to protect you, then don't. Go on, leave" 

Pepper was taken aback. 

Why was he suddenly harsh to her? Asher had never spoken to her that way before but then again she was beginning to understand that there were parts of him he hid from her and those parts were starting to show.

Pepper turned around and opened the door. She was about to step out of the door when Asher spoke again
