Asher sat in the living room with his legs crossed as he went through the documents in front of him. He tried to ignore the glare Duke was giving him and the noise coming from behind him as Pepper tried to break down the steel door with a hammer. He wondered how long he was going to ignore her before he told her the hammer won't make a dent. Nothing short of a military grade C-4 explosive was going to make a dent.

Asher had a million and one thing to say to the people he trapped in the house but he didn't. He simply focused on the documents.

"It's been three days" Duke murmured.

"I know. I can count too" Asher said without taking his eyes away from the documents he was reading.

"How long do you plan to hold everyone hostage?" Duke asked him.

Asher dropped the documents he was holding.
