Mariela's POV

"So, what is your plan for tomorrow night?" Val asked, and I raised my head and stopped counting the bills on my hands.

"As usual, I will go home and then read books or watch movies," I replied, and I heard her grunt as she looked at me.

"Come on, Ella, you need to have a social life; you have been so busy baking bread and cakes every day of your life since you graduated from college." She said.

"Val, I have a social life, and you are aware I need to cater to lots of orders every day that I couldn't afford to have a rest day," I replied.

"You owned this cafe, for heaven's sake, Mariela; you have assistant, and I don't think you will lose if you have a day off once in a while." She said as she grimaced at me.

"You don't even have time to date." She added.
