Chapter 42: Everything Will Be Alright

Archer's POV

I was standing inside my room after my mom left, and I felt confused about what to do with Mariela anymore. I don't want my parents to hurt her with their nasty comments, and I know they will do everything to make Ella walk away from this house, but right now, it would be already too late because I am falling for her so hard, and I just can't let her go.

It took me a long while to pull myself together, and I felt so terrified when I realized she could have left by now because I know Ella; she is the kind of person who doesn't want to be humiliated even if she doesn't come from a wealthy family. And knowing she was only my pretend girlfriend made me feel so horrified if she left me without saying goodbye.
