Everywhere was silent as Mr Ukyo quietly slipped into the noisy class room with a file of papers in his hands, just like before.But this time,He was waxed annoyed and those sheets had red marks all over them.The day of reckoning had come.

There was no more joyful greetings ,no gossiping, no conversing.Not even a peep could be heard from anyone, only grave silence. Everyone knew and understood what was about to happen.It had happened before countless times.The dreaded time for the announcement of results was finally here and Mr Ukyo hadn't wasted a single minute of the day in grading all of the 27 students' papers just like always and Akira was anxiously expecting 25% just like always.It was routine and the whole class knew this .Hawaki was going to take the highest score.No argument.

No person had ever dreamt of having the highest score.

They just wanted to know how low theirs would be.

Sue patted Akira's back reassuringly.Her friend was dying from the anticipation.
