Chapter 3: Chapter 1
(Hiccups Pov )
"This is berk, it's 12 days north of Hopeless and a few degrees south of freezing to death."
"It's located solidly on the meridian of misery. My village in a word sturdy it's been here for seven generation's but every single building is new"
"We have fishing hunting and a charming view of the sunset. The only problem is the pests." We see a sheep getting picked off by something and the sheep next to it just keeps on grazing.
"You see while most places have mice or mosquitoes we have..." we see a teenage boy opening a door to get out of the house only to be met with the village in chaos. A monstrous nightmare sees him and breaths fire at him while he closes the door in time using it as a shield. "Dragons"
We see a bunch of sheep running around with a dragon breathing fire in the background.
"Most people would leave but not us we're Vikings we have stubbornness issues" one person gets picked off by a Groncle with its mouth as he keeps bashing it with a hammer to no avail out of nowhere a shield bashes it on the side of the face and it lets go of him and flies of disoriented.
Hela runs to her shield picks it up and turn's to the man. "Be careful next time." She says and runs off to assist her dad.
Back with the teenage boy, he got out of the house. He runs the chaotic village with an excited smile.
"My name is Hiccup great name I know but it's not the worst. Parents believe a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls like our charming Viking demeanour wouldn't do that." Hiccup says as he walks backwards to check behind him. He bumps into someone and turns around just in time as a Groncle fire a lava blast the shock wave from the blast sending him to the ground. A Viking falls on top of him shouting with his axe in hand.
"Aaarrrr morning." He gets up and runs off to gods nowhere.
Hiccup gets up and runs through the village with some of them shouting at him like.
"What are you doing here"
"Get inside"
"Get back inside"
He ignores all of them and keeps running ahead until he almost gets fried by a Nader but he gets saved by stoick as he lifts him by the Coller.
"What is he doing out again what are you doing out get inside." He tells him a bit frustrated with him as he pushes him away.
"That's stoick the vast chief of the tribe. They say that when he was a baby he popped a dragon's head clean off its shoulders." Stoick picks up an empty cart and throws it at a Nader breaking it on impact. Another Nader shoots its tail spikes at him from behind but a shield deflects them and Hela glares at the dragon angrily and it flies away in fear but Hela doesn't notice her eyes glowing red for a brief moment.
"And that's Hela they say she killed 10 dragons at once with a single sword. Do I believe them? Yes yes, I do." Hela turns to her father only to see him smiling at her.
"Thanks for the save." He says with a proud smile. Hela nodes her head and turns to a man standing next to her.
"What have we got?" She asks him.
"Groncles, Naders,zipplebacks oh and horks saw a monstrous nightmare." He responds and Hela nodes at him but she stiffened when her father asked.
"Any night furies."
"No non so far" Hela relaxes when he said that.
"Good"
Hiccup runs by large torches as they are lit up and raised. He gets to the forge where another Viking with a peg leg and hand is working.
"Oh, how nice of you to join the party I thought you been carried off." He tells hiccup.
"Wah who me Nah come on am way too muscular for their taste." He says as he puts on a leather apron and struggles with lifting a hammer with spikes on the sides. "They wouldn't know what to do with all of this." He points to himself.
"They need toothpicks don't they," Gobber says as he changes his peg hand.
'The meathead with attitude and interchangeable hands is Gobber. I've been his apprentice ever since I was little well littler.' Hiccup thought as he airs the furnace.
"We'll move to the lower defences. Counterattack with the catapult." Stoick tells the men with him as they start moving to the new location.
A monstrous nightmare breaths fire at a house engulfing in flames as people move away from it. One of them shouts," fire".
"See old village lots and lots of new houses." A group of teens run past the window of the forge to a water tank.
"Oh and that fishlegs."
"Snoutlout "
"The twins tuffnut and ruffnut"
"And Astrid "
Astrid pours the bucket of water to the burning house and turns around to get more but it gets destroyed by another dragon. Some debris from the destruction head towards her but Hela grabs her waist and pulls her out of the way.
"Woah" Astrid exclaims surprised with the sudden pull. She was about to hit said person until she saw who it was and freezes a sudden blush creeping on her cheeks.
"Be careful next time beautiful~?" Hela says with a flirtatious smirk.
"T-thanks," Astrid says stuttering.
"Alright see you around Astrid~," Hela says as she goes back to helping around leaving behind a blushing Astrid.
Hiccup who saw all that happened rolls his eyes at his sister's antics but then he smiled "their job is much cooler " he said leaning over the window but he gets picked up by the collar by Gobber.
"Oh come on let me out please I need to make my mark"
"Oh you make plenty o' marks all in the wrong places"
"Please two minutes I'll kill a dragon my life will get infinitely better. I might even get a date."
"You can't lift a hammer you can't swing an axe you can't even throw one of these," he says while showing him a rope with two round iron weights at the ends. (I don't know their name)
"Ok but this will throw it for me," hiccup says taping one of his invention which springs open throwing the weight thing which hits a man standing by the window.
"Now see this is what am talking about," Gobber says.
"Mild calibration issue" but Gobber interrupts him
"Hiccup if you want to get out there you have to stop all of this," he says while gesturing to all of him.
"But you just gestured to all of me" hiccup questions a little confused.
"Yes stop being all of you"
(Hela's pov)
'Is it just me or is tonight's raid a lot longer than normal and the dragons seem a lot more desperate than normal.' I thought with a concerned look.
"They've found the sheep" I heard one of the men manning the catapult shout.
"Concentrate fire over the lower bank" I hear dad order as they start turning the catapult in a direction. Seeing it was going to hit a Nader I picked up a good-sized rock and threw it at the dragon making it fly in the opposite direction.
That's when I hear a very familiar sound of whistling coming from the sky. My eyes widen as I looked up just in time to see a purple plasma blast hitting the catapult, dad and the others jumping off.
I sighed in relief as it wasn't Troels because his plasma blast is red but then it hit me 'there's another night fury'.
I look around to try and find it but with no luck, so I go back to helping around 'sigh It would have been nice if Troels had a friend' I thought a little disappointed.
Then I heard a high pitched scream.
"What in the gods named is that," I asked myself. I looked in the direction it came from only to see hiccup running from a monstrous nightmare.
"Sigh why couldn't he just stay in the forge for one night, "I said with an annoyed smile as I ran after him.
I jumped over a cart as I see the dragon breathing fire at the post that hiccups hiding on so I picked up the pace.
But dad got there before me and tackled the dragon away from hiccup. I sighed in relief as I walked up to hiccup and gave him a good punch on the shoulder.
"Ouch what was that for," he asked holding his shoulder. I gave him a look that promised pain. "Sorry," he said with a nervous smile.
"Tell that to dad he pissed," I said looking towards dad as he walked to hiccup with an angry look. I just smirked and walked towards a blonde-haired beauty. I stared at her for a bit just taking in her beauty.
Sensing my eyes on her she turned to me a small blush on her face.
"Stop staring"
"You make it kinda hard not to stare~," I said smirking at her as her blush deepened.
"You're a hand full," she said with a smile
"Oh I know am a hand full but that why you got two hands, kitten~," I said loving the effect I had on her because if anyone else flirted with her so openly they'd be on the ground in Spain without the s.
"Anyways Astrid I came here for another reason other than flirt with you 'not that I mind' " I walked closer to her putting my hands on her waist and pulling her closer. I smirked as heard her gulp loudly her face turning red not caring about the people around us.
"Astrid hofferson would you do me the honours of being my girlfriend?" I asked her with a sweet smile. Her eyes went wide for a second but then she smile so wide she was practically radiating happiness.
"YES" she shouted with a smirk I leaned over and gave her a hard kiss after kissing for a minute I pulled back and gave her room to breathe.
Coming out of our little bubble we hear everyone around us applauding and shouting excitedly congratulating us.
"Well looks like we gave the village quite the show~," I said with Astrid burying her head on my shoulder which I chuckled at.
