Chapter 20: Return
LA Alex, David and Martha began preparing for the trip back home after completing the contract signing. Alex was eager to return back home to focus on helping his team continue to learn and develop their skills in game development.
During this trip Alex had already made plans for his future goals. Unlike how he had been previously anxious about how things were changing behind the scenes. And him not knowing what changes were taking place, without his knowledge had made Alex feel a sense powerlessness.
However, after talking to his godfather David deeply about his concerns about what he wanted to accomplish in the future had made Alex rethink his whole future plans.
This allowed Alex to take a few steps back and look at the pros and cons of certain successful business in the future. For example social media companies like Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram are all very lucrative businesses. That Alex considered creating a social media empire with his future knowledge previously.
For example social media website like Twitter went on to become the most toxic and rotten social media sets in the USA. But, that was mainly because of poor management.
It becoming a place where people would voice their political views and actavis agenda. Another thing was that many of this social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and so on... were all monitored by government agents. Who would also use this websites to spread misleading information to the general public views on certain people or topics.
Alex wasn't interested in getting into politics and he also knew that most politicians were all corrupt. And endorse by very powerful people or companies like Blackrack. Who would than use these people in power to cover up for big companies and influential people.
So Alex had finally decided to only create sits such as YouTube and Whatapps. Which Alex was confident in keeping this site's out of the hands of governmental agents. Alex didn't have any real issues with government agents groups using social media.
Like Google and Facebook to spy on the public. In Alex opinion if you're aren't doing anything illegal there's no reason to be too concerned about the issue.
The main problem came when this social media sites are used to falsely incriminate, spread misleading information. Hide important information about certain people or topics.
Alex knew that he and his family would not be able to completely keep out of politics affairs. They however could limit the amount of influence they had on they themselves.
Alex knew he and his family would need to be careful about how they went about doing things later on. For now Alex decided to keep his attention here and now for the moment. After spending several of hours on the flight back Martha, David and Alex finally landed back in Brooklyn. Martha and Alex were picked up by Oliver at the airport station.
David also left the airport with his wife Maria who drove him back home to get some rest and relaxation. Which Martha also planed to do after returning back from their long flight.
Oliver didn't ask much about the trip as he knew both Alex and Martha probably still tired from the flight. As Alex upon entering the back seat of the car had a immediately fallen asleep from exhaustion.
Five hours later Alex slowly open his eyes where he found himself laying on his bunk bed "Father must have carried me up out of the car." Thought Alex out loud.
Alex decided to get out of his clothes and take a brisk shower after the long flight back from LA. Leaving the room Alex was surprised to find his older sister Ashley in the hallway out side his and Duke's room.
" It's good to see you came back safely Alex." Said Ashley as held a basket filled with dirty clothes.
" Oh, what's up sis. Going to do the laundry I see Where's Jennifer. " Asked Alex.
Ashley has always been a very soft hearted person by nature and did not like talking badly about anyone. Her personality and nature had made Oliver very worried about her future safety. The world they lived in could be very dangerous place at times.
Hence why Oliver had made sure not to let any of his children be oblivious of the world they lived in as he had experienced first hand.
So very early on Martha and Oliver had ingrained a sense of urgency and cautious when interacting with people in world. So that none of them could easily be swindled or misled by others. But, rather they themselves should have a discerning disposition.
Thanks to this Ashley only showed this soft and delicate side of her to immediate family members, whiles to the outside world she would adopt a stronger personality.
"Oh..., hey just a reminder, Uncle Daniel is coming over tomorrow to visit." Said Ashley.
She just remembered about the visit of their father's younger brother. Daniel Edward's, Oliver's younger brother who would occasionally helped their family out from time to time.
"Uncle Daniel is coming over tomorrow." Repeated Alex over in his mind from what he remembered about his father's younger brother.
Daniel was one of the only living blood relative Alex had ever met from his father's side of the family. And would always bring very expensive gifts any time he visited.
"Hey, Alex are you still listening to me." Asked Ashley as she pouted her lips in frustration. Ashley honestly didn't like how her little brother mind would suddenly drift off somewhere else.
"Sorry I didn't mean to drift off in the middle of our conversation sis." Hurriedly replied back Alex.
After coaxing his elder sister Alex finally entered into the bathroom and took a long steamy shower before leaving to have dinner with his family. As the family gathered together for dinner Alex and Martha talked about how their trip went.
Before everyone went back to their rooms, all except for Alex who decided to go down to the basement.
Meanwhile in Oliver and Martha room. "So your planing on bringing your younger brother into our the business we are starting." Asked Martha as she laid on Oliver chest.
"Yes, that man had recently cut Daniel out of his will a last year after marrying his mistress and making their relationship public." Said Oliver before pausing for a moment to arrange his thoughts before continuing his words.
"Daniel was fortunate enough to at least receive a several million forms him after a long legal battle from what he told me." Explained Oliver. His voice turned slightly cold clearly showing his disapproval in his so called father's actions.
"Wait he remarried and cut your brother out of his will? How come I'm only hearing about this now." Asked Martha even though she already knew the answer to her own question.
As Oliver didn't like to talk about his father Matthew Harris Edward's. Who had disowned him after he refused to abandon her and their unborn children.
Martha didn't have any problem with Oliver bringing his brother into their plans to start up their own family business. She honestly was happy to let her brother-in-law help them in building their future business.
The next morning Saturday nineteen 19 February a black Mercedes parked at the front of the William residence. As a blonde haird man with ocean blue eyes walked out of his vehicle. With a big smile on his handsome which resemble Oliver face slightly.
This man's was Daniel Edward's, Oliver younger half brother. Daniel stood about 6 foot 3 in height and was around thirty years old with a distinct jawline, sharp eyebrows and roman nose. Daniel aslo had one beauty mark below the right side of his lip.
"Hello brother long time no see." Said Daniel with a happy smile on his face as he got out of his vehicle.
