Where did we go wrong with him…..he was was always an unruly child, but the last 5 years have been especially bad, his mother was always a political minded women, but I never thought she would start getting involved with the aura guardians, and drag our child with her.
They claim to be the keepers of balance, and maybe they were once, but they are now corrupt and are trying to gain more political power, for what? I can't be sure, they can't rule, it's in their own laws, but I suspect they are trying to set up a puppet monarch to rule in the shadows.
And I'm sure Magnus's mind has been tainted by their whispers of promises and power to be gained... and it changed him..
He was caught torturing poor commoner women in the dungeon, it was quite disturbing..
I've given small punishments, and lectured him but I don't know how to deal with it, I can't publicly punish him or it might make the royal family look weak and divided, so I've cut a lot of his funding but I'm sure that won't be enough.
He seems to have gotten into an altercation with this young noble by the name of Gideon storm over wanting to acquire his businesses, which I'm sure Magnus wouldn't have been polite about.
And it has resulted in a 3v3 battle to be held this afternoon at the academy grounds, I've been told Magnus has called in a few favours to borrow some king ranked Pokémon from a few of his backers.
But if even if half of what father told me about Gideon storm is true, the fight was over before it began, to have multiple champion ranked Pokémon at the age of 15 is more than impressive, it's on the scale of legends.
I know the boy has made a few enemies already, and he has drawn the eye of the aura guardians by having so many of his servants having access to aura, so I can imagine them trying to cause trouble for him sooner or later, but if he can somehow make it through this political storm approaching him he would be a true powerhouse, not just in the sinnoh kingdom, in all kingdoms….
And while the 100,000 gold will come out of the royal treasury and it will sting a bit, it might be a good way to make a positive impression on the lad, but again according the father, trying to pander to him would have the opposite effect, so we shall see.
My plan is to sneak out the palace and watch the match myself, disguised of coarse, but I want to see just how much power this Gideon storm truely possesses...

I'm up fairly early, quick shower and breakfast, mons balled, and out the door
I popped home last night and picked up my fish from the lake, he seemed down to showboat a little, told him to showcase some power and as a kind of warning,it can taken in both ways but, it is what it is
We didn't specify a time for the battle, so I'm guessing around noon? Well guess I'll just hang around and give Rhyperior a pep talk.
Later that day
I'm walking to the academy grounds with bel on my shoulder humming some red hot chilli peppers I'm stopped once again...…. By a group of nobles from the academy...… is this a thing? Like is it taught by nobles to hang around in groups to wait for people to start shit with?
And look who it is, the bug simps petreen and inda Bernal, the little fuckers, standing there smug as shit.... Nobles pride heals like wolverine after a beating..…
Gideon " what do you two little pricks and your mates want?"
Inda " we just came to "wish you luck" in the battle against the prince, we can't wait to see your face after he totally humiliates you"
I just stared at the little cunts….. identical twins, light green hair, around 5'3, and just generally smug like all nobles
Petreen " no come back? Commoner?"
I just snort at these little pokes, I'm considering if how I wanted to respond before petreen opened his mouth, but he kinda set me up.
Gideon " if I wanted my comeback I would just wipe if from your mothers chin, is there a reason you little twinks are here besides just wasting oxygen?"
Petreen " how dare a mere commoner insult my mother!!!"
So it would be fine if I was a "noble"? Which I am, and the reason I hate these little shit stains with such passion is, one day I took off to the capital with pops for the day to get some stuff.
And these 2 were staying in the storm lands as guests of my brother Kyle, the sadistic little fucks thought it would be a good idea to check out little town while they were close, and for "fun" they thought being the pieces of shit they are, that they would use my people for their amusement.
Well when I got back I saw about 4 guards on the ground, none of their Pokémon out, not wanting to attack a noble…..well petreen thought it would be fun to have his scyther carve his name into my people,.
Well I saw red, I remember my houndoom permanently crippling the scyther, and me breaking both of his legs while his brother cowered on the ground in his own piss….
Fun fact about healing in this world, you can heal broken bones in about a week with some heal pulses, so what I did wasn't really bad, but I didn't know that at the time, I thought i did hurt him a lot worse than I did.
It turned into a whole thing with pops and their father, but it boiled down to me telling pops I'll try not to do it again, and them never coming back to storm lands.
But the hatred I felt when I seen my guys on the ground bloody unable to fight back really hit home for me, and cemented in my mind that nobles like my brothers are the norm, not the exception like pops
Inda " we just wanted you to know when you lose today, the scyther that was lent to the prince was from our family... we wanted to humiliate you like you did to us….we can't wait to see you in despair for losing that precious village you seem to care about"
They can't be that dumb right? They just revealed 1/3 of the Pokémon being used by. The prince for free?
Gideon " so you came to give me information on what Pokémon the prince will be using?"
They seem to realise what they did…..they just wanted to brag and ended up giving me important info? Not that it matters it's all the same anways
They snarked a few "filthy commoners" before they left in embarrassment for their fuck up
Anyways I make it to the battle ground, and there is a massive crowd, like 1000 people, there seems to be random nobles and academy students, must have heard about the event I guess.
I feel almost no good vibes sent my way, I guess that's normal, being a "half commoner" challenging a prince would be seen as an insult regardless of faction.
I see Kane at the side of the field with Leo , and Magnus and his peons at the opposite end, that's convenient I guess, I also see a bunch of people standing around the field with mr mimes and espeons, and….. is that a gardevoir? Haven't see one of those before.
Kane walks over to me
Kane " you ready boy?"
Gideon " yeah bud, just do me a favour and announce the bet before the fight?"
Kane " no issues with that kid, well I'd say good luck but I've seen your Pokémon, and what ever Magnus has borrow won't be able to match them"
I just wave him off and head to the opposite side, I don't want to do the whole dialog before a battle thing, but I doubt I'll get a choice.
Magnus " so you actually showed up, I thought for sure you would scurry away like the little rat you are"
Gideon " little? You're shoulder height….. you know what, I'm not doing this back and forth thing let's just battle... oh by the way petreen and inda Bernal told me all about your Pokémon before I came into the academy"
I could see the pair pale at that, hilarious….Especially after the prince looked their way with a scowl.
I nod at Kane to start this thing.
Kane " ladies and gentlemen gathered here Today, we have a battle between the first prince of the Sinnoh kingdom, Magnus Sinnoh and the son of Victor storm, Gideon storm….. they have both wagered on this battle, the prince has wavered 100,000 gold coins and a royal starter Pokémon turtwig... and young lord storm has wagered the rights to his businesses of vespiquen honey and silks in the merchant company, ineeta gold, in exchange, gentlemen when I call "begin!" please release your Pokémon for the battle to commence!!"
There were lots of oooh and aaaaahs in the crowd as the announcements were made, as me and Magnus took our pokeballs in hand, he still has a smug smile about him, but I'm about to change that.
Kane "3….2….1….BEGIN!!!"
To the cheers of the crowd we both release our mons, pokeballs aren't thrown here, otherwise you gotta go retrieve them, so we just hit the release.
He released first and what comes into view is a 7 foot tall yellow humanoid creatire with a tail….. electabuzz….. such a poor first match up for him….
And as my first pick finally steps out of the light, the crowds are silent, standing at an intimidating 12 feet, covered in orange and grey rock armour plating and beefy as fuck was a Pokémon no one has ever seen before my big chill Rhyperior….
Even the prince was stunned seeing him, but I didn't wait around for him to catch up and because I let my Pokémon fight how want until now with some pointers I'm not even going to command him, I just gotta give him the prompt to start
Gideon " sick him boy....."
And before anyone recovered Rhyperior was already moving toward electabuzz with speed something of his size has no business having….
