At this, Alicia stared at her son in pure frustration.

"Shut up and listen to me for once! I want Valerie in my family. That's why, convince her to get married to you."

Lucian truly felt inexplicable about the way his mother talked. At least this confirmed to him that there was something that being kept from him. As for what it was, it depended upon him to find it out.

"If you have nothing more to say, I will be leaving then," he voiced out.

"Whatever. Just don't let Valerie slip away from your hands. Remember, you have to get married to her."

Lucian was eager to get away from there. Looking at that burning passion in his mother's eyes, Lucian knew that it wouldn't turn out well for him if he stayed.
