Chapter 13: Refining Pills

The two Alchemy Masters talked with Qing Han for a while and realized that Qing Han is not only proficient with alchemy theories, but also familiar with the actual refinement process.

Monstrous!

They have been in alchemy for decades and only reached the level of Master of Alchemy at the age of forty and fifty. Thinking about Qing Han's age again, they couldn't help but feel embarrassed. It's just frustrating! Qing Han is just how old? However, he already has a knowledge that is not inferior to them.

After casual conversation with Qing Han, Mu Hong ordered a servant to hire the president and vice president for the alchemy room.

Unfortunately, the servant returned shortly afterward with news that neither the president nor the vice president were in the Alchemists' Association.

As neither the president nor the vice president were from the Alchemist Association, Kong Ming was forced to try to delay Chu Qing Han as long as possible until his returns.

And what better reason besides the second test? He wanted the two leaders to be here to see it for themselves, but it looks like it won't be possible.

The second test consisted of evaluating the practical manufacture of a pill. The pill would then be evaluated, and judged by the two master alchemists according to its effects, Purity, and refining speed.

Chu Qing Han nodded with a bit of indifference.

They then arrived at an alchemy chamber. Qing Han entered the room and started getting ready to refine a pill.

The two alchemists looked at each other before walking inside together. They wanted to see how Qing Han, who showed great knowledge, would fare in the refinement department.

In the alchemy chamber, Qing Han had already begun. He started by choosing the medicinal ingredients separately, extracting essence, opening the cauldron and lighting the fire, all done without a hitch.

The cauldron was typical of the testing room, but it was much more inferior compared to the furnace in the main hall. He was also much smaller in comparison.

"Oh, this is amazing!" Kong Ming couldn't help but praise. One would know with just a comparison. He at least was inferior to Qing Han in these techniques.

Qing Han's techniques were much more advanced compared to the city of glory, his hands were flying back and forth picking up the herbs, and extracting their medicinal essence very easily and beautifully.

They were nice to see. This was practically a feast for the eyes of the two alchemists who were used to the monotonous ways of the city's alchemists.

As it turned out, in addition to theoretical knowledge, Qing Han really knew how to invent alchemical pills.

At first, the two thought that Qing Han had been tricked by someone with bad intentions and so let slip that he wanted to take the alchemist test. Afterwards, the two thought that it would be good enough if his knowledge was enough for his current age. But now, everything was breaking before her eyes! A boy under fifteen was actually manufacturing a genuine pill in front of him!!

No matter how you look at it, Chu Qing Han really must be an alchemy genius.

So, no matter what alchemical pills Qing Han refined now, or even if he spoke. The Alchemists' Association would certainly do anything to keep him here.

Qing Han was calmly preparing the materials, but there was no way that everything would come out perfect. All had limited energy. Furthermore, Qing Han was far from reaching the level where he could refine pills without any problems.

Even so, he had already entered a brilliant state. Only after less than two hours, a complete oven with "Pilulas of the establishment of the foundation" was successfully prepared.

They weren't the best level he could make. but he is already at the highest level if you take into account that he is in the city of glory.

By the time he finished, these two high-level alchemists were delighted, deeply impressed by Qing Han's moves.

Was this really a rookie? He was practically a veteran alchemist with how incredibly skilled he was.

The two high-level alchemists had long been impressed by Qing Han's skill and showed expressions of unreserved admiration. His heated and crazed eyes made even Qing Han feel a little uncomfortable.

"Congratulations, young man! You passed with flying colors!!" Kong Ming approached with a flattering smile as he tried to peek at the newly formed pills.

"Foundation Establishment Pills! It was a recipe found by my master in some ancient ruins. Its effects are to purify the base while increasing the chance to enter Bronze Rank by 70%, as well as having a good chance to increase two whole small kingdoms if used with knowledge." Chu Qing Han said as he took the five pills in a jade bottle.

"Hmm. Your master must be a very powerful and busy person." Mu Hong said smiling. If this pill were exposed for sale, the association could be even closer to its former heyday.

At this moment, a servant rushed into the room. His expression was pale as sweat ran down his face.

When Mu Hong would yell at the servant for entering without knocking, the servant opened his mouth and began to speak with difficulty:

"Master Kong, the President and Vice President have arrived!

…..

In a different alchemy room.

Ling Feng is currently trying his best in testing. An hour has passed and he has finished more than a dozen jobs.

This is just his first time doing the test, so there was still a bit of pressure with two great alchemists standing in front of him. For the first twenty minutes he just studied each question carefully. So, by the time he started, he was already familiar with the questions.

Before he was here, he secretly promised himself that he would pass this round! Not for himself, but for Qing Han who took him off the streets and was helping him so kindness.

However, the questions soon started to get more complicated from page sixteen onwards.

Ling Feng felt immense pressure as the two alchemists began to breathe more heavily. Suddenly, it felt like something took over his body as his pen that had been stationary started moving at high speed again.

An hour has passed, and several of his papers already have several complete and detailed answers.

Seeing Ling Feng's answers, the two Master Alchemy Examiners couldn't help but nod their heads in approval. Your answers are more than 90% correct. And to become an Alchemy Apprentice, he would need at least 75% percent of the answers correct. (A/N: The questions here are different from the questions given to Qing Han.)

"Finished! Please check!" Ling Feng suddenly regained control of his body, and said to the two alchemists.

The two nodded, and began to review their answers page by page.

"Past!" The two alchemists' expressions were filled with wonder as they looked at the complete answers. It was already very rare for them to choose to become an alchemist, a genius like that would be even rarer.

When the answer was given, Ling Feng's eyes immediately filled with tears.

"Brother Qin, I did it!! I didn't fail you!!" Ling Feng's smile at this moment was so bright that even the two alchemists lost consciousness for a few seconds.

….

Alchemists Council Hall.

As he looked around, Qing Han noticed several pages on the walls. Getting closer, he noticed what appeared to be questions about alchemy.

Just as he was about to start answering some, an old man with a beard and snow-white hair and a tall, sexy beauty entered the hall along with Kong Ming.

When the two looked at Qing Han quickly going through the problems, they thought it was funny.

'Does he think he could answer these questions with his little knowledge? Even as a master alchemist, he wouldn't necessarily be able to answer any of them.

These questions weren't things Qing Han could solve at his age. However, when they saw what Qing Han had disregarded the two of them were shocked beyond words.

Gu Yan and Yang Xin looked at Qing Han and thought, 'What kind of idiot is he not to know them?'

But was Qing Han really an idiot?

Not paying attention to what they were thinking, Qing Han started writing his answers on the pages. One…two…..three… Without realizing it, Qing Han had already answered more than twenty pages before finally stopping.

When he turned around, he was surprised to see four honorable alchemists behind him, looking fervently at his answers.

President Gu Yan and the others also came to their senses at this point, and looked in shock at the boy in front of him.

Is Qing Han really just an eleven-year-old boy? Although Qing Han's face is still quite immature, Gu Yan and Yang Xin thought that Qing Han is an old monster that has lived for hundreds of years.

Without several decades of study, it is totally impossible to become a Primary Alchemy Master.

Qing Han is only eleven years old, but his knowledge and understanding of Alchemy has already surpassed the Masters of Primary and Intermediate Alchemy. He might not be inferior to Senior Alchemy Master Gu Yan!
