Chu Qing Han also started hanging out after receiving a badge with his name, and current institute class.
"Where are we going, brother Qin?" Ling Feng asked Qing Han after leaving the square.
"Alchemists Association." Qing Han replied with a smile.
Ling Feng made an "oh". He thought that Qing Han would be heading back to the cave. After all, they had finally entered the Institute.
The two walked briskly and, after only ten minutes, arrived at their destination.
The Alchemist Association is a vast building. The courtyard pavilion alone took up an enormous amount of space. The hall in front had many alchemists wearing robes of different colors walking in and out.
Although the Alchemist Guild has shrunk slightly, you can see how glorious the Alchemist Guild used to be based on the magnificent building.
The Alchemist realms of Glory City are different from the alchemists of the Toxic Forest. Being divided into Apprentice, Master and Grand Master. Each rank is then divided into Primary, Intermediate and Senior levels.
Apprentices would wear gray robes, Masters would wear white robes, and Grandmasters would wear silver robes. Most of the alchemists who came and went were apprentices. As for the rank of master, they are rarely seen. Only one or two of them are normally seen.
Because of the decline of the Alchemist Association, jinn are reluctant to spend their time on alchemy. They would focus more on cultivation, so the amount of alchemists and newbies of the younger generation is getting smaller and smaller.
After entering the Alchemist Association, Chu Qing Han and Ling Feng looked around. Ling Feng already had some guesses as to why they were here. Last month, Qing Han hammered out various herbal knowledge, concepts and different knowledge about alchemy in his mind. So you could say he was mentally prepared for it.
Qing Han then approached a counter. Behind him was a pretty young woman dressed in a gray robe. Seeing Qing Han approach, she immediately stood up with a smile and said, "Hello, my name is Xiao Lan. It's good to have you here, what can I do for you?
His eyes focused on Ling Feng and Qing Han for a moment. After all, these two young men were extraordinarily handsome; even she felt a little captivated even though the two of them were just kids yet.
"My brother and I are here to take the Alchemist exam," Chu Qing Han stated as he looked confidently at Ling Feng, who smiled and nodded slightly."
Xiao Lan looked at the two of them with a bit of surprise. The number of young people who come to the Alchemist Association to become alchemists is already very rare. As there are two newcomers, naturally the Alchemist Association welcomes them with open arms.
"Fine. You are here to take the Apprentice Alchemist exam, right? You should know that there is a small fee before starting the exams, and it doesn't matter if you pass or fail, the money is not returned" Xiao Lan smiled as she introduced the rules, but his smile soon froze when she heard Qing Han speaking once more.
"Miss Xiao Lan, my brother here is going to take the Alchemist's Apprentice exam! I would like to know if it's okay to try the Alchemy Master's exam?" Qing Han's tone was very polite despite the fact that he was talking to an ordinary person.
Recovering from his initial shock, Xiao Lan replied, "Although it is possible, do you know how much practice it takes to become an alchemy master? Our Association doesn't have many alchemy masters these days. Also, we do not refund the fee paid. at first!"
Chu Qing Han lightly smiled at Xiao Lan, making his face redden, "Age doesn't reflect a person's knowledge, correct? Miss Xiao Lan, just bring us to the Primary Alchemy Master exams."
The lady can only sigh and nod her head in agreement. In fact, any of the primary classes could be taken by anyone as long as the fee was paid.
"Participating in the exams for the Masters of Alchemy requires you to pay upfront two hundred demon spirit coins, and it is necessary to pay first before taking the exam," said Ms. Xiao Lan, looking at Qing Han.
"Alright, that's not a problem!" Chu Qing Han took out three purple bills from his storage ring and passed them to Xiao Lan. "It's One Hundred Demon Spirit Coins for the Alchemist Apprentice Test, isn't it?" Qing Han smiled, and patted Ling Feng on the back twice.
Xiao Lan lightly sighed.
Do they think the Alchemy Master exam is easy? The two hundred demon spirit coins that Qing Han paid in the exam are wasted. However, it's Qing Han's money, so it's not her problem. She is only obligated to do her job properly.
"Follow me!" Xiao Lan pouted. She then took Chu Qing Han and Ling Feng to the waiting room.
Walking down the hall, Qing Han noticed several doors on either side of the wall. These were supposed to be the places where people were undergoing their tests under the supervision of a Master Alchemist.
When they arrived in the room, there were already some people there. But neither Qing Han nor Ling Feng paid any attention.
"You can enter any of these doors, be prepared! The first exam will be theoretical about your knowledge. Also, there are two alchemist masters evaluating your answers every minute! Good luck!" Xiao Lan smiled at Qing Han as he explained.
"The location for Alchemy Master and Alchemy Apprentice tests are different, so you can follow me!" Xiao Lan said to Ling Feng, who nodded and looked at Qing Han one last time.
"Good luck, brother Qin!" Ling Feng smiled and escaped alongside Xiao Lan without waiting for an answer.
"Well, let's go!"
Passing through the second door, Qing Han saw two old men sitting with their eyes closed at the back of the room. One of them opened his eyes when he heard the sound of the door. Looking at the newcomer, a hint of shock crossed his eyes, before returning to his earlier serenity.
"Two distinguished Masters. I'm here to take the Master of Alchemy exam," Chu Qing Han said politely, without giving them a chance to speak first.
"This student, are you sure he's not in the wrong place? The room for Apprentice Alchemy is north of here!" The two alchemists looked at each other, before one of them suddenly spoke.
"Hehe! The two illustrious masters don't need to worry about that. My master told me to take this exam before reaching Bronze Rank, so I'm just following your order!" Qing Han bowed his head slightly. Even though these alchemists weren't enough for him to show that much respect, it was still good to be polite.
"Oh, may I know who your master is?" The other Alchemist got up from his seat and walked towards Qing Han.
"Yes, my master's name is Chen Xiang! He's currently out of town in secluded cultivation!" Chu Qing Han said.
"Chen Xiang?" The two alchemists looked at each other again, before shaking their heads. None of them had heard the name of someone like that in the city of glory.
And of course, the two of them thought that Chu Qing Han had been tricked by some nasty person out there. Never could they have guessed that Chu Qing Han's master was actually out of town. Only that the name given by Qing Han was not the correct one.
But since Qing Han was already here, it meant that he had paid to take this exam. So both of them could no longer expel him without him taking the exam first.
"Okay, so there are over three hundred and sixty pages inside this book. You can take some out of the book. On each page, there are all kinds of alchemy questions. You're required to write the answers down on paper. a total of twenty pages and finish them in two hours. Only if the correct rate is over 90% can you go to the next round", instructed one of the Alchemy Masters.
"All right!" Qing Han replied, and walked over to the table in front of the two alchemists. He chose the first twenty pages that seemed to be the hardest to scare newbies.
"Alright, you can start!" The shorter alchemist told Qing Han, and then returned to his seat.
Chu Qing Han took a pen from his storage ring, and started looking at the questions. To him these questions were child's play, it was simply too easy. The city of glory was simply too far behind the toxic forest in terms of alchemy. While they were discovering new medicinal herbs, the toxic forest was already several realms above that.
In just under an hour, Qing Han was done with all the questions. He then stood up, bowed slightly before saying, "Two honorables, I'm done! Please check."
"Oh! That was quick. It seems the questions were too difficult for him," One of the alchemists clearly wasn't confident in Qing Han. But he still walked alongside the other towards the pages laid out on Qing Han's desk.
"The first question about the twelve uses of Dragonweed is correct! Good answer!"
"Also correct about the twenty-eight steps to form foundation foundation pills! Good, Good, Good, answer in great detail! Perfect!"
…..
The two alchemists looked at each other. Obviously thinking that Qing Han had cheated on the tests. But that was technically impossible since the two of them had been looking at him this whole time…
So, the only possibility was that Chu Qing Han actually knew at least the concepts of a Master Alchemist's knowledge! And that alone made him a genius among his peers. Also, let's not forget that Qing Han isn't even 15 years old yet!
To think that someone was able to train a young man to this level of knowledge in such a short time, only someone with many years of dedication to alchemy could do that! Furthermore, this person's cultivation level could not be low either, as he lives outside of Glory City where dangers abound in every corner.
thinking about it, the two Alchemy Masters were amazed, their mood was high. Regarding this matter, they definitely have to report it to the elderly group. Qing Han's age is still young, but he already has such frightening knowledge. What will become of him in a few years?
"May I know where this young master is from?" One of the old men said, smiling, "My name is Kong Ming, he is Mu Hong, we are both Masters of Primary Alchemy."
"Masters honored, I am an orphan! Currently I live with my friend in a cave made by my master." Chu Qing Han said politely. He wasn't afraid of someone following him to find out where the cave was, as he would be moving out of there in no time.
Hearing Chu Qing Han's words, Kong Ming and Mu Hong's eyes narrowed. What Qing Han said made it seem like his life here in Glory City seemed a little… bad!? For such a young age, living in a cave with no one in charge over him? Wasn't this a heaven-sent opportunity for the Alchemist Association!?
Well, this was more of a 'filler' than a real chapter. The next two will be more or less similar to this one, only with a few small differences. So it doesn't matter if you don't want to read. Still, if you're willing to read: Happy reading!!
