Chapter 3: Chapter 1

After a day's worth of preparation, "Time hath cometh..."

My own magnificence yawned. "That prep-work sure took long..." With mine brilliance, I successfully mapped the forest. It gave me geographical advantage. "Th' task, t'was nay easy"

Although low-grade monsters made it a tad of a hurdle, I still managed to collect a fair amount of materials.

"Now, now, now..." I looked around... "Where t' start?" I roamed farther... "'nother Wolf, eh..." With Forge-san's sword, I slashed the beast. Hearing the cries of the fallen, other monsters followed. I kept on slashing, slashing, evading, and slashing.

"Being hyper-reactive sure is handy." I looked at my dirtied palm. "I guess it's all thanks to my bout with Tsuki-san..."

After the time's passing, I caught a glimpse from a distance, "There it is..."

Ginormous, intimidatingly horrifying, and at the same time, displaying a proud figure...

As I observe in its slumber, "Commence Plan: De-oxygenation."

I sat behind the bushes with precaution as I formulate a strategy: "I have to wake it up without aggravation..." I looked at its physique. "Those are insane Leg Muscles; It's got to be faster than that ghoul." It's paws; "Uggg..." I swallowed, "Getting hit by those claws would mean Heaven." The more I observed the Griffin, the more I was inclined to doubt

"Is this really as strong as the Ghoul?"

I thought long and hard, "Luring it into that cave would prove difficult..." I had to think of a bait. "I can never outrun a Griffin." Hence left with no choices, "Provocation and misdirection... To throw rocks, losing it from my tail."

"— And once I successfully reach the lubricated, trap-filled cave..." Ignite the lubricant and explosives, confining the Griffin inside, while producing a chemical reaction; Oxygen is consumed by combustion, leaving carbon dioxide in the vicinity, "Ultimately killing the foe as it inhales fine smoke particles, blocking its air passage."

'And as that happens, I have to narrowly escape through that small crevice to avoid suffocation'

"This is gonna be tough..."

But, I made up my mind; "Operation, starts."

Whence, began...

"Thou, arise from thine eternal slumber!" I predicted its wake... It glanced around until "It found me!" Screeching at my presence, I ran swiftly. As planned — It was on my tail. Closing the gap rapidly, I began phase 2; 'Misdirection.' I threw a rock at its eyes while efficiently blending in with the surroundings.

It was aggravated. Luring its focus unto me, I shouted; "FOLLOW ME!" I continued with my sleight. Some time followed, 'The cave is in view!' The Explosives I placed became noticeable. With skillful evasion and witty activation, the Griffin was yet stalled.

I kept on running. Farther and deeper into the abysmal passages. To avoid death, my sly sleight persevered. Getting gradually closer to the ultimate trap, I ignited the last of explosives using a magic igniter, trapping both myself and the Griffin in the narrow cave.

I ran towards the lubricant, and upon reaching it, I reached my hand to my cloak's pocket... "Where's the Igniter?!?!" It was nowhere to be found. I lost composure. Fearing for my safety, I decided to flee with my life at stake. I escaped to a small crevice leading outside. As I crawled, my Cloak was entangled in a sharp rock formation. "CRAP!"

The Griffin slashed the tiny opening, but I managed to barely evade. I was still stuck. My garment's fabric did not tear. As I was unnerved, the beast kept on scratching the opening, successively making a bigger and bigger hole.

'WHAT SHOULD I DO?' My mind was disoriented. '— HELP... I CAN'T DIE YET! ANY HELP WOULD DO! PLEASE!!!' Instinctively, I reached out my arm towards the Griffin... "IF ONLY I HAD FIRE!" I believed it was my last moments... "Sorry... Rimu..."

"Flames..." Shockingly, I produced flames. It engulfed the Griffin. The whole cave was in utter Hellfire. I regained cool and freed myself from the entanglement, crawling back into the surface.

The forest was in sight yet again.

"I... I did it..." My mind could not fully internalize my thoughts and emotions... "I DID IT!" I was happy, I was anxious, I was fearful, I was relieved. I was thankful. It was a collection of thoughts and emotions clumped together. Words cannot verbalize the sensation.

While bewildered, the Griffin's screeches could be heard. "I'm tired..." I took rest on a secure tree.

"I didn't die... Thank... Goodness..."

I was losing consciousness... The Griffin's weakening screams could be heard...

Few hours went by. I was awoken.

"Ah... I dozed off." I stood up and listened. "The Griffin can no longer be heard." I crawled back inside the cave. "Ugh" I coughed. "The flames aren't extinguished yet." I looked around, "I..." There lay the Griffin's burnt corpse "I DID IT!" Overcome with joy... I coughed upon inhaling too much smoke. "It's too polluted here..." Hence I went back to ground.

As I was unable to carry the materials alone, I navigated out of Strauss' Forest and went to the pub.

Upon arrival, "Tsuki-san" He stared at my sullied Cloak "Shuma! What's with those clothes?! You just bought them a few days ago!" I shrugged it off. "In any case... I need your help, everyone!"

They looked dumbfounded. "— I need help in salvaging the Enchanted Beast's carcass!" And in synchronization, they all went; "EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!"

To their surprise, I had slain the unbeatable Griffin. Before taking heed of my requests, they were concerned... "Do you need treatment?" Said the humongous Tsuki-san. "I'm fine. Just exhausted."

'— My robe's in bits and pieces though...' I exhaled... "Now, now. Tsuki-san, gang. We shall depart!"

"Wait, no, no no, no, no! We need more men, obviously! It'd be difficult to haul a beast so big! More so, fending attacks while we carry the loot! In any case, just rest here while I gather the men. Prioritize your recovery. You're coming with us..."

And so I did... I sat on the stool, laid my head on the counter, and drowsed off...

Moments later, "Shuma... Shuma... Hey, Shuma, wake up..." I rubbed my eyes and groaned.

"'Sup... Ah, right..." I stood up, turned back and saw, 'Ugh...'

"Umm... Tsuki-san? Aren't we going a bit overboard with the people here?"

"Whatever do you mean?"

I gestured a cross-arm. "There's way too many men! Won't 20 or 30 do?"

Someone from the background exclaimed, "Whether you defeated the Enchanted Beast or not, it's way too much to believe! We're better off safe than sorry..." Tsuki-san added, "There you have it, Shuma-kun."

From thereon, I realized... 'I should've plucked one of its feathers for confirmation... What a slip-up!'

"Alright, Tsuki-san. I understand." I stood proud and put my fist in front of my pecs, "Everyone! It might be difficult to process the events currently transpiring. But I need you all to put your faith on me! I'm well aware that it's an unbelievably bold claim! And it might be hard to trust a stranger... But I need help."

Tsuki-san patted my head as if I was a kid. "Shuma... You're no stranger to anyone. You're the adventurer that whooped my ass in a whiff." Tsuki-san laughed uncontrollably. Everyone laughed in succession. "Tsuki! Better work harder!" Said some guy. "That's right! Can't let Shuma here, beat ya!" added another.

I scratched my head, smiled vibrantly, and concluded my speech. "You all have my thanks!" I bowed and declared, "We shall depart!"

And so I led the way... As we trudged the forest's rugged structure, Tsuki's men interrogated me.

"How did you beat it? Honestly, it's still unbelievable."

I gave out an awkward smile as I nervously fidgeted around. "Ha... Haha... I basically just made nature kill for me." The interrogator was baffled... "What does that mean?"

"You'll see once we get there."

Our march persisted until...

"We're here..." Engulfing the surrounding area... 'Smoke... Seems like it leaked from the tiny hole I escaped from'

"Shuma. Is that it?" Inquired Tsuki-san.

"Indeed it is. It might be better to open a bigger hole before entering though. You'll suffocate..."

Hence, they dug deeper, and deeper... "Heave, ho! Heave ho!" Everyone worked hard. as I sat by idly. As the opening was widened, fine particles escaped, gradually emptying the smoke-filled chamber.

"Witness, the Corpse of the Enchanted Beast!" Proclaimed I! "Very thick hides! Firm and Tender Meat! Well-Defined Musculature! Equipped with Graceful Magical Feathers!" I blathered on and on like a demented Chuunibyou. Nonetheless, everyone seemed appalled.

Out of the crowd, questioned Tsuki-san, "Are you perhaps a magician as well?" I responded. "No... As I explained previously. I utilized the surroundings. Call it Natural Chemistry if you would." They were confused. 'I mean, well. That's to be expected. The lower-class can't possibly have studied the sciences'

I diverted the topic from the inquiry, "Anyways! I might not yet be a magician, but someday, I shall be a Meister of Sorcery! And a Novel, Stupendous Mage!" I laughed hysterically...

Tsuki-san retorted, "Big words... I guess our Shuma learned how to be cheeky! Ga-Hahahahahahahaha!" The crowd laughed, united at my tall tale.

As the sizeable corpse laid flat, "I've already mentioned this before but... Shuma really did it huh?" said Tsuki-san's companion, to which Tsuki-san sarcastically added as he placed his fist on his chest, "Shuma's my one and only equal after all! Gu-HAHAHAHA!" I let out an awkward giggle.

At that point, I've gotten tired of hearing the same remarks and jokes, 'I need to excuse myself...'

"Tsuki-san! I'll be outside resting. Call for me when I'm needed!"

"Mhmm, Hmm... Now, men! skin the beast! Salvage anything that looks useful!" As I observed from my resting spot, they ripped off the Griffin's organs. The scene was grotesquely crimson-red... They clipped off its wings, trimmed down its claws, collected its feathers,

With Tsuki-san's leadership, everything went by without a hitch. "Maaaan, its skin is tough! No wonder why we couldn't beat it all these years!" Complained someone as he hauled huge loads.

Everyone was carrying the same volume of burdens on their backs towards the supersized wagon they had built for themselves.

Countless hours passed on...

I clapped my hands twice... "Good job, folks! That's about all the materials from the Echanted Beast. Let's go back!"

Everyone, gasping for air, grumbled, "You're a slave driver, Shuma! At least give us a break!" Tsuki-san, almost on his wit's end, followed. "If a big guy like me is exhausted from all that work, then normally my famished men wouldn't be able to stand. Let us take a rest, Shuma."

'Well, now I feel bad' I scratched my head. "I'm sorry to have you guys do this... Let's take a rest!"

And so we did...

Everyone fell to their knees as soon as I mentioned, "Rest." They huddled together full of sweat. Being the sanitary man I was, 'Ack...' I felt slightly revolted... 'I guess men are men...' Although, I instantly accepted that fact.

An hour, roughly went by...

"Everyone ready?"

They lifted their arms in unison, and shouted. "YEAAAAAAAAH!"

Thence, we all marched our way back in a blaze of Glory!

Village of Arche... Just from the entrance, the villagers could be seen waiting anxiously. 'They sure are on edge...' Few steps left until the entrance... 3... 2... 1... And from thereon, Tsugio-san, with a serious composition, stepped forward... "Tsukii"

Tsuki-san approached... "Grandpa" He beamed a smile, and exclaimed, "It's defeated!!!" Tsugio-san hugged his grandson proudly. From then, I thought 'Grandpa's boy, Tsukii'

The masses were hyped up! "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!" They jumped out of joy. Shouted praises, danced around, and celebrated. They came closer. And closer to me, lifted me up, and threw me upwards... As I was about to fall, they caught me... They repeated it over and over again.

As they were doing so, I had thought, 'Man, I'm not used to crowds...' After they were satisfied, they put me down. Tsuki-san approached... "Smile and wave, Shuma. You're the star of today!"

I followed his instructions and smiled awkwardly... 'But I'm a helluva socially awkward lad...' I waved my hands and continued beaming my totally-perfect smile.

A lil' shota approached and asked adorably... "CAN I SHAKE YOUR HAND?!" And being the respectable man I was, "Sure, why not?"

Seeing the kid shake my hand, everyone in the village mimicked him. "CAN I SHAKE TOO?" There showed an old man... I was awkward, but I did shake his hand.

Countless people formed a line, Up next the peerless beauty, Lea-san... "Hmm... You've become a celebrity in a flash, Shuma-kun... Hehe." I was embarrassed, so I shaked her hand and went for the next person in line.

It went on for a while...

For a while... Until Tsuki-san...

"YAHOO! LET US CELEBRATE WITH A DRINK! SHUMA YOU'RE COMING WITH US!!"

He dragged me by the back with his humongous physique.

'Ehhhhh?'

"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!?! WAIT, TSUKI-SAN!!!?!??!?!"

'HE'S A PAIN IN THE ASS FOR A GROWNUP!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

Consequences led to it, and now I was sitting quietly in a rowdy bar...

'I've got to find a way to escape!'

Tsuki-san strapped his arms on my shoulder, "Shuma! DANCE! SING! MAKE MERRY!"

They were all so happy... Despite being stuck in the worst possible scenario, I felt happy. Knowing that my accomplishment made people smile... "EVERYONE! THANK YOU!"

"For what? It should be the other way around. You helped us, Shuma. We are thankful! Now, we can venture deeper into the forest to procure the valuable gems! Truly, we thank you..."

'Ah... I guess... Life isn't all bad after all...'

"Tsuki-san..."

To celebrate the occasion, I went along with their shenanigans. They partied all-day, all-night, while yet again, I left my beloved poor Rimu at the lodgings. Remembering that, I had to make up an excuse!

"AH! TSUKI-SAN! I FORGOT! I HAD SOMETHING I HAD TO DO! AND SO WITH THAT, SEE YOU TOMORROW!"

I left in a dash. As I ran swiftly, the festivity went on. Making jolly of the remaining time of the day...

Hence, I arrived.

I rushed upstairs, opened the door, and 'BAAM!'

"RIMU!"

There she laid... Spherical, bouncy... Cutely... on my bed... "She's asleep. Must've been lonely..." I sat down on the bed, petted her plump figure. "I'm sorry for leaving you alone for a day... I just couldn't take you along such dangerous adventures..." I laid on a fetal position, with Rimu in between my torso and legs... My pats persisted until her bounciness made me fall into a gradual... Deep... Sleep...

And so morning came...

Nothing is best when a Slime is boinging in your stomach!

BOING! BOING! BOING! BOING!

I groaned... Her hyperactivity woke me up! Mineself, appaled, I let Rimu 'Boing' more into my stomach. I had a thought then... 'This aggressive waking-technique... She's like Alice!' I had found it extremely adorable!

Alas, all adorable transpiration must come to an end... I caught her plump figure midair, put her aside, and uttered "Goodmorning." I beamed a princely smile!

Laying flat again, Rimu jumped at my stomach. I petted her as I re-analyze yesterday's encounters.

'Everything went well... Fortunately... Yesterday... I just used Magic... How?' I was still left clueless... 'Remember the sensation from yesterday...' I closed my eyes, took deep breaths, and exhaled. 'What did I feel back then... What did I do? I was tensed up... Picture it...'

"..."

'Nothing happens, huh... I don't think that was it...' I prompted myself to sit on my bed, closed my eyes yet again and imaged 'Magic Particles? Was it fear that triggered it? Anxiety? NO!'

"Yesterday... Rimu, I asked that I wanted help... I wanted to live for your sake..."

'Magia, 'tis thine epithet to which thou shall wield... Prithee, listen to mine plea... Grant me thy power...'

Inside my head, I felt a sparkling, tingling sensation... I extended my arms with palms facing up, 'Whoosh' A bright-red flame developed.

I blankly stared at the flame in my palms... "Magic. MAGIC! HELL YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHH!"

'Wait. I just need to do that lame-ass chuunibyou chant to access Magic?' I thought so... But then, the flame poofed out of existence...

"Ah... AH!!!"

'Magia, eh... Such a jerk-ass'

"Ah... Flame's back..."

Poof...

"ARRGGGGGHHH! YOU GOTTA BE SHIETTING ME!?!"

'Oh well... That was my bad. Shouldn't have badmouthed Magic... I should know better... It's impossible to learn it in a day... Maybe after a bit of dabbling... Perhaps?'

And so, I experimented. I tried creating my own chuunibyou encantations, "... Burst forth, Flames!" Rimu bounced gracefully. "... Fleetting gale, dance with me!" I continued until night time arrived.

"Rimu, before we sleep, what'd'ya say, we play for a bit?"

She leapt in my arms as an expression of excitement!

As I already had a general understanding of Magic, I created a block of ice for Rimu to digest. "Here, try it out. It's cold and feels funny." She engulfed the whole thing and slowly melted it inside her cute-plump round shape.

"You seem to like it! Want another?"

Boing!

I produced another. She ate it like it was ice cream. It went on for a couple few minutes until Rimu decided to jump onto my bed to sleep with me...

ZzzZzzZzzZzz

Therefore, passed another day...

With the usual pattern: Wake up, stand, bath, clothes, brush, Rimu on my head and whatnot, I decided to head out with my beloved Slime!

As I stepped out of the establishment... 'Man, this feels weird... I'm getting stares all over... Was I that loud yesterday? Did I do something wrong?'

I was truly confused... Until Tsuki-san gave me a slap in my back. "Yo! Shuma! It's been a day last I saw you!"

Vigilantly, I leaned towards Tsuki-san's ears and asked, "Did I do anything bad? I've been getting all these stares for a while now..." He laughed it out and responded, "Don't worry! You did well the other day! You deserve your own recognition! FWAHAHAHAHAHA!"

'Ah, right... I forgot I beat up that Griffin good... I got too absorbed by yesterday's accomplishment.'

"— Which is why, Shuma... Take these Gemstones, they're from the Forest of Strauss. They're extremely useful."

"I'll take some"

"I guess... That old prophecy really was true..."

"Prophecy? About what? First I've heard of it"

"That's to be expected. It's a prophecy from the founder of this Village. It goes as such:"

"He, shrouded in enigma, from boundaries unknown, shall step foot on these very lands and shall be thy salvation. Centuries passing... By then, ye shall witness his mighty strength and genius intellect"

As I heard the prophecy, I thought to myself quietly, 'Whichever Mage made this Prophecy... IS SERIOUSLY FANTASTIC! TRULY A FANTASY-THEMED PROPHECY!'

"Shuma, I believe the prophecy means you..."

"Ehhh... I mean, I don't really mind being the prophesized savior, but I can't stay here for much longer, Tsuki-san. "

"You're going to Weiss, right?"

'Spot on!' "— How'd you know?!"

"The prophet also implied something similar in one of his few connotations."

'Gah, damn! This Mage is perceptive!'

"Mind telling me a bit about this Prophet or Mage, Tsuki-san?"

"Sure, let's take a seat on that bench first."

We went over the resting spot and sat with an all-serious composure.

"Now, let me clarify. There really isn't much to say about our Village's founder. He's basically as mysterious as 'The concept of life and death'"

'Tsuki-san. That analogy is very dark and heavy...'

"—Well, in any case, let me start. The Mage that you ask of. He's one of the very few people who shaped this world into what it is today. He did not have an aptitude for Magia, yet he expertly taught everyone about it. He was the founder of most of the world's concept of what we call Magic. He, without Magical Prowess, was unsuitable to be a Mage, but he was referred to as such, regardless. He was that great of a person, our founder was... Unfortunately, it was said he left the Village in pursuit of knowledge."

"That person... Not gonna lie. He sounds seriously AWESOME! Like a Dark Mage of some sorts!"

I was hyped. "In pursuit of knowledge? Like a true Mage! Waaaaa! I'M FIRED UPPP!!! Tsuki-san, thanks for filling me up on the details! For now, Rimu and I will train in the woods!"

There I upped and ditched Tsuki-san... Alone...

After sprinting towards the forest, I instantly drew my sword. I slashed the monsters while Rimu was atop my head.

To make the practice more worthwhile, I tried utilizing Magia. I threw a fireball — I missed. I conjured a Magical weapon in my left — Lest, I failed.

As I was not proficient with Magic just yet, I used my Sword instead. Monsters kept on flooding me, and I just kept on slashing.

Despite the failure, I did not give up. "Magia! At least help me out in battle, will ya'?!"

[Skill Acquired: Inventor]

Hence, a new skill was acquired unexpectedly.

I tried conjuring a sword for the 2nd time, but... "Man! A Wooden Sword? Seriously? But well, that's progress..." I slashed more monsters with my Metal sword.

Slowly, all of them diminished. It was as if... They had a tactical retreat... While I had the chance to rest, I complained, "Man, Magia... Huh... So selfish... Can't you at least help me out a lil' bit? Sheesh..."

I tried concentrating to perceive my enemies...

[Skill Acquired: Perception]

'That's more like it! Thank you, Magic!'

"But, honestly... It feels like I'm talking to a live being... It feels odd..."

'If that's the case, I give Magia my deepest thanks for saving my ass a lot of times... — Can't change the fact that you're a jerk when it comes to help though...'

All thanks to the skill I recently acquired, "I perceive ten Beasts hiding ahead... Rimu... Don't leave my head, I'll charge head-on!"

I rushed gallantly. After a moment's passing, ferocious Beasts entered my line of sight. Yet again, I tried magic. I failed, but I was slightly a tad proficient than before. Visible progress could be seen...

I kept on with my practice until I gained far more precise control over it... Time went by in a flash... It was already dawn...

'I played for too long... Gotta head back. Don't want to lose Rimu in all these darkness'

To the lodgings, I went back and laid flat on the bed. 'For my first practice, I'd say I yielded decent results. Just before I sleep...'

"Water in my palms... Electrify!"

'I think I'm getting the hang of it. So I basically just need to earn Dear Ole Magia-Kyun's favor to use Magic...'

At that point, I had it more or less figured out. 'It's just about time I try Whispering Deadlands... Tomorrow'

In order for me to have that done, I had to sleep... As such, I slept with the usual position, embracing my beloved partner.

"Another day, another life," as what I always said.

"Rimu... I really don't want to bring you along... Butttttt... If I can't protect you in times of danger, strength is pointless..."

Henceforth, We strode along the murky paths heading towards the Whispering Deadlands.

"Here we are..."

After a few steps towards the boundary...

Growl...

"Tch, seriously... I couldn't even sense it!"

Right before I could attack, 'Grrrrrr — SLASH!'

I barely evaded it. I commenced a counter. With my sword, I slashed.

SNAP!

The blade broke into two. The Beast's hide was way too strong for a simple sword to scratch.

'TCH. I NOW UNDERSTAND HOW HIS WOULD FARE WITH THE GRIFFIN!'

"Tactical Retreat!"

As I ran around, trying to lose its tail, I made my own preparations for an attack.

'Magia... Picture an unbreakable razor-sharp sword...'

[Skill Evolution, commencing...]

[Skill: Inventor. Progressing...]

[Special Skill: Conjure, Acquired.]

Thereon, from my hand, appeared a Glistening Crystal-Blue sword.

I raised my blade and culled the Feral Wolf's head effortlessly.

"This blade... It's Amazing!"

'Magic really is spectacular!'

Moments after the Wolf's defeat... Another monster revealed itself to me. Blood-red eyes, sharp-fangs, extremely pale skin.

'A Vampire!'

It charged at me ferociously, but I blocked it off with my conjured sword. It kept on with its rampaging attacks. All I could do was block and dodge.

As I ran, many more monsters appeared. It was right there and then, that I knew, I fkked up. I got too reckless. I even had the gall to put my BELOVED RIMU, in danger!

'I have to devise a plan... Oh... I have [Perception] So, basically. I'll By*kug*n my way out of this deepsheit.'

"Sounds like an A-Okay plan... I think..."

I halted... Turned back, facing my enemies...

'Sheit... I knew there were plenty of 'em because of [Perception], but... Can I pull this off?'

"Ahh, screw it!"

I charged! 'SLASH' Befell one beast after the other. With the useful Skill granted upon me by Magia, I was able to fend off and counter proficiently.

A Vampire sneaked behind my back, but 'I see you, muzafakka' With a single Slash, it fell to the ground.

While I was battling, utilizing my Skill, I realized, 'This really is handy. In this murky, dull, and foggy place... I can see everything. In its every detail...'

A couple of mins passed, and I more or less defeated the most of them. As I showed superior strength, the monsters fell back. 'These creatures are more intelligent than I initially thought.'

As the tension dissipated, I immediately remembered... 'Before training... That's right... I have one task I need to accomplish...'

Right then and there, I thought 'Perception... How can I widen the area of cognizance... Visualisation? Maybe... Focus...'

"It works"

Upon searching every nook and cranny that my own Perception could reach, 'There it is...'

I trailed the path that I had perceived to be where it was located. As I got closer and closer, the scenery became more familiar...

I arrived... I witnessed...

A confined Feral being... Incomprehensively screaming inside my generated Cage. Acting like a mindless beast... Such a distress full sight to behold.

Grrrrr-aarrrrgghh-hggggg

'Pitiable...'

I stepped a few meters back...

"May you..." From my right hand, I produced flames. And with my left, I conjured the most flammable chemical compound... "—Rest in Peace..."

An explosion, so deafening, obliterated every single one of its physical being...

As the gas I conjured was toxic, I had to take measures. "Confine the gas in that cage..."

While the gas was trapped, I left the place in a hurry.

Woe... Monsters were not very friendly that they would let me pass through.

At that point, I was somewhat exhausted... Somewhat depressed... So I decided to head back.

Along the way, the monsters I encountered, I treated as practice dummies. And after arriving home... Myself, along with my precious travel partner took our well-earned rest.
