Chapter 17: Conducting A Plan (1)
The city of Circe-
All people in the city of Circe are now in a state of panic because of the announcement of the City Lord that a massive horde of demons is coming to invade this city. Lots of people are evacuating at this very moment because of fear, but lots of people or old folks who are attached deeply in this city are not intimidated at all even if they die in the hands of demons, they will accept their fate.
The guild that is assigned in this city is busy contacting all surrounding cities for backup. While all the Arch Mages and the Grand Mages are now in the meeting room.
The atmosphere in this meeting room was so heavy and gloomy. They did not agree with each other's opinion, some of them are saying that they just evacuate and leave this city until the reinforcement from the empire came. While the others are saying that there are still people who e are not evacuating and don't even want to evacuate.
"Rather than sacrificing our own life for those fools, why not just evacuate at the nearest city so we can form a proper defense line. It will buy us some time for the reinforcement of the
Kingdom to arrive." Said by one of the red hair young men
"Reiji, enough! Are you gonna abandon those people? Because of your cowardice?" said the pink-haired young woman
"Call me whatever you want! I won't face a fight that I already know the result of. I'm not insane enough to fight those 50,000 demons" Replied Reiji
"Ahem, Reiji has a point Luli, even if we want to save this city, it was too late, they are about to arrive within 5 hours, it was too late for the Kingdom's reinforcement. And the enforcement from the guild in the other cities is still unknown, they still don't contact us that they will send us a backup." Said the middle age man
"Then! Are we just gonna let those damn demons invade our city without a fight? You called all yourself a man?" said Luli
The city Lord, on the other hand, has his eyes closed, his head was resting in his hand as he heard them arguing with each other. After a while of listening to their arguments, the City Lord suddenly opened his eyes and spoke.
"Enter," said by City Lord with a solemn voice
A guard suddenly enter as he saluted and started to report
"Reporting, the City of Astraea is sending 4 Arch Mages for reinforcement," said the Guard
"4 Arch Mage? How can a 4-arch mage change the crisis we are facing right now? I told you they will not send their best Magicians because they already knew that we are doomed" said Reiji
"Reiji you can leave now if you want to leave. We won't force you." Said by the City Lord
"What a coward." Followed up by Luli
"You!" Reiji pointed at Luli as his vein bulged out on his head
"So, city Lord what are we going to do?"
"We will wait for those 4 to arrive," said the City Lord
"What?! what can 4 people do?" asked Reiji
"It is better to have them rather than a coward like you," said Luli as she snickered
"You bitch!!!" Reiji shouted
"Enough!"
"How many hours are they gonna arrived? Are they gonna make it?"
"Yes, the Astraea Guild told us that these 4 are capable of using flight magic. they should be arriving here within 1 hour." Said the guard
"What? Flying? With only Arch Mage?"
Almost all the Mages who are present are all socked by this news, Only Lord Mage is capable of such a feat. Luli on the other hand has an expectant look on her face.
"What is the name of these 4?" Asked by the middle-aged man
"Their names are Shinichi Oda, Reina Cromwell, Lisa Bolenan, and Esri de Balor," said the guard
"What? Esri-chan?" shouted the beautiful young lady as she stand up with a shocked look on her beautiful face.
"Oh! What an interesting lineup, A young man with an unknown background, 3 young women from Bolenan, Fafnir, and Yggdrasil." Said the middle age woman
"Cromwell? You mean that family of assassins from the Kingdom of Yggdrasil?" asked the muscular young man
"Yes, that family is the only one has the surname of Cromwell," said the middle-aged man
"and isn't the princess of the Elven kingdom named Lisanaria Bolenan? Are they the same person? and that Esri de Balor is the Sword Princess of our Kingdom of Fafnir right?" asked the middle-aged man
"Yes they are," said the guild master who hasn't been talking all this time
All of them looked at the guild master with a lot of questions in their heads. Because this lineup is not making any sense. How come an unknown young man is surrounded by famous people with a tremendous background and all of them are said to be a beautiful women.
"Don't look at me with that kind of face, you all will know when they arrive." Said the grandmaster as he smiled widely

"We are finally here," said Shinichi
"Yes, it only took us an hour from Astraea to Circe," said Esri
They all landed in front of the city Gate but the guards this time is not as shocked as the previous one because they already know that they will arrive in this manner as the report says.
"We are expecting you, esteemed mages. I will guide you to the city Lord. All the mages are already gathered and waiting for your presence." Said one of the guards
"Alright please lead us the way," said Shinichi

Inside the meeting room, they are all silent and patiently waiting for someone to arrive. After an hour of waiting, they suddenly heard the door open.
"The 4 mages has arrived," said the guard as he didn't enter and let the 4 mages enter.
When Shinichi and the others entered the meeting room all ayes are gathered in them. Shinichi didn't faze at all as he was already used to this kind of thing from his previous life.
"You finally came," Said the City Lord
Shinichi on the other hand cupped up his hands and speak "Greetings City Lord I'm Shinichi Oda we are here to help as requested by the guild in Astraea City"
"Hmh, we are expecting you, young man. We can finally start a real meeting" said the City Lord
"Huh? What do you mean?" asked Shinichi in confusion
"Well, they all don't agree with each other so we can reach an agreement on what should we do. So we waited for your arrival, maybe with you here we should be able to start a proper plan." Said by the Guild master
"Well aren't you guys are too lax for someone who's about to get invaded?" said Shinichi casually
All mages suddenly have a change of expression as they heard Shinichi's words, they are all displeased by this Youngman's attitude. Reiji was about to retort but suddenly a loud laugh echoed inside the meeting room
"Hahahahaha! Of course, we are lax but we are not lazy too, we are all just waiting for the right person to lead us so we won't waste any more time arguing without having a conclusion." Said by the City Lord
"Hmm? What do mean? Aren't you the leader?" said Shinichi with a confused look on his face
"I may be the city lord but there is a right person who just enters," said with a City Lord
"Hmm?" Shinichi suddenly turned to look at his back but he could only see Reina, Esri, and Liza as he looked again at the city lord and pointed his index finger in his face
"Do you mean? Your joking right?" said Shinichi
"of course, I'm not joking, how can I joke around when a horde of demons are about to invade us," said the City Lord
"What? Are you gonna let me lead even without knowing me? How about the others are they alright with it? A young man to lead the older ones?" asked Shinichi in disbelief
"Of course, they aren't, but as a City Lord, I will be the one who will decide it. Is there anyone who has any problem with Shinichi-kun lead us to face those damn demons?" said the City Lord
All of the mages didn't react even they wanted to interject, they also don't know how to overcome this crisis.
All of them didn't reject the idea of letting this young man lead them even they are displeased by this young man. Except for one arrogant tone.
"Hah! How can a Kid like this lead us, to an unknown background? what if he is collaborating with the demons?" said Reiji as he smirked
"Then, can you lead us instead? How can a coward like you has the guts to reject the City Lords' decision? All the shit coming out from your mouth is how to run and only think about your pity little life. you Coward!" rebutted by Luli
"You damn bitch!!!" Reiji shouted
He is about to draw his sword but a heavy killing intent descended in him. He sweated buckets of cold sweat as he looked at the beautiful lady who is sitting on the right side of the City Lord.
She had sea-colored eyes and golden hair the same as Esri but her hair is a little darker than Esri's. She wears a white dress like a holy Saintes and holds a wand.
"Hey you, can you please Shut up? We already wasted enough time. There are lots of innocent people who don't have the power to resist are need our help. If you don't have anything good to say that can helped us. Then, Shut the fuck up!" said the Golden-haired Saintess with a cold look on her face
"Alright, that's enough Reiji sit down," Said the City Lord
Reiji being a coward himself doesn't have the guts to retort to the woman and just sat down reluctantly, while Luli smirked as she saw the ugly face of Reiji
Esri on the other hand looked at the saintess woman with a smile on her face and the saintess also looked at Esri as She smiled back too.
"So, Shinichi-kun we only have 5 hours left for the demons to arrive. What do you think?" said the City Lord
Shinichi looked at Reina and Esri and looked for help. Reina and Esri hold Shinichi's hands each.
"Do whatever you want, I will support whichever decision you'll make" said Reina as She smiled at him
"Shin-chan its time for you to shine, let them show how awesome you are, but if you don't want to do it'll still support you," said Esri as she smiled charmingly too
Shinichi sighed and started to talk "Haa~ Alright ill do it," said Shinichi reluctantly
"Good, everyone please listened to him without fail. If anyone disobeys his orders will be executed" said the City Lord with the solemn voice
All of them nodded then looked at the young man who will lead them. Shinichi cleared out his throat as he started the meeting.
